A friend's whole family, including his wife, 'got pregnant' (is that our new euphamism now?), but he didn't. I hope that can happen with y'all. Hope we're not stepping on the rules here, but get well.

Nah, we can say Covid-19 on here. The virus itself isn't political, but as we all know it can turn political in a split second. :D

Two weeks later. Lots of phone calls, missed delivery dates and a complete drain of my patience tank….I get new tires. Not the Coopers I wanted, but these were in stock. BFG A/T KO2s. D0F12201-F0C0-4122-88AC-484B0F587FC1.jpg

Fever finally broke. Just in time, too. Need 24 hours fever free to exit quarantine and go to work. The plan is to go back to work tomorrow night. As long as I don't relapse I can go back to work.

Yeah. 99% sure I came back From a business trip to Vegas in Nov ‘19 with it. Before anyone had heard of it… but later when they started talking about symptoms I could check every box except loss of smell (taste was gone during the height of the fever).
I almost never get sick, but I was knocked down for about 4 days hard. And a couple more days before I felt “normal”

Seems the latest rounds don’t seem to be as bad. Dunno if it’s the fact people are getting vaxed, that the latest strains aren’t as potent, or if “herd immunity” is starting to take effect (though I know what science says about the numbers needed for that to happen). Any way you slice it, though, I’m just glad it seems most people catching it now can liken it to a bout of the flu and move on.

looking forward to the rest of the BS being behind us in some way or another. If you make it out to Portland, I think I owe you a beer or dinner or something. :D

Also, PSA- COVID talk is supposed to be a no-no on here. I brought it up (kind of) and everyone has been behaving themselves without political stances or comments, and for that- I thank you for making my (volunteer) job easier.

    edit: fixed my typo :)

Lemme know if you’re heading out. I’m a ways out of Portland but happy to meet up one night.

Truth be told, not really. I guess I miss how good it sounded and also the confidence I had in its strength when driving faster than I should on rough roads. Otherwise the outback is better in every other way. Speaking of the Outback I think I decided on the wheels and tires I'm going to get. Liquid metal shadow wheels and bfg trail terrain T/A tires

I think I would have saved money on something like the Subie. Just doesn't draw out the mob bug in me the way the Tundra did. Looking forward to that tapering off.

Well, I can assure you that the mod bug is still very strong for me. It has been a consistent battle. I've been looking at skid plates and I end up on iron Man 4x4's website at least twice a week looking at the suspension before clicking off. I'm genuinely trying my best though to avoid the horrific cycle of buying a new vehicle dropping a bunch of money on modifications and trading it. That's why I'm getting personalized plates lol, maybe it'll pressure me to keep it :D also I'm playing with fire but I want to test drive a bronco and the new tundra just to see what they're like. Also, pic of wheelsshadow_satinblack_white.jpg

Did an oil change today. Man oh man are oil changes amazing on this Subaru when you have all the right equipment. Valvo Max did fantastic, vehicle specific funnel is the definition of perfection, and the fact that the oil filter is under the hood like second gen Tacoma is the cherry on top.
