This thread is great! Keeps me and my wife fit and happy because I keep thinking about a 7" snake sliding in. Just gotta hope a 20" monster doesn't slide out!:D

It's amazing where they can go. This was taken at a friend's house several years back.

Had a squirrel crawl down our bathroom vent pipe and up into our master bath toilet about 25 years ago, my wife was about 7 months pregnant and went to sit down in the middle of the night without turning the light on. That's when the fireworks started...

So glad it wasn't that rattlesnake instead.

We had a reno in progress on our home in western WA where the septic was’nt in use for about a year. Went to the basement utility sink to wash a paint brush and found this guy one afternoon. Fortunately wife does not know or house would have gone on the market.

This has happened twice with extremely large tree frogs here in FL. Different houses, same result. SCREAMING bloody murder from my wife.

This picture just convinced me to foam seal the small gap I see between the brick and cememt siding on my house, dear lord.

Lol, frogs are quite the contortionist as well. And they always seem to jump around head level.

Those holes are vents to allow condensation to dry behind the wall, I advise you leave them open. You could add a screen though.

No, i am talking about the hardi plank overlap between the 2nd story and 1st story brick veneer work. Cheap builder just used tar paper behind the plank with no osb sheathing or transition flashing, leaving a 1/4" gap along the side of the house under the hardi plank, pretty sure any creature that can climb the wall will slip right in there and into the walls/attic space. I did see some product called coroplast (looks like corrugated plastic cardboard) that might offer a barrier to most pests while keeping top venting for the brick veneer, although it isnt entirely neccesary as long as i dont impead downward drainage behind the hardiplank. I did cover all the brick veneer weep holes around the house with stainless screen, that helped alot with ants/texas size roaches
