Hopefully it all works out for you.
Ask your doctor & daughter about Voltaren Gel, it will help take the edge off. It takes a few days to start working. :fingerscrossed:

I hope you can hit your goals for weight, and I hope that does the trick. Sorry to hear you're having this trouble. I get the 'as we age' preamble at the doctor's office too, and I've had some back trouble in my day; but I haven't had to face the prospect of surgery. Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress.

Major truth bomb to read this morning. I appreciate the insight from someone that has more life experience than I. It’s always good to get a good reminder now and then. Just another positive thing to come out of this forum and group that I am proud to be a part of.

Sorry to hear you are going through this and hope the best for you! Keep us posted.

Hey man. I went through some bad back shit about 6 years ago and it’s rough as hell. I was doing spinal injections every couple weeks and the spinal surgeons said I had no choice but to open up my back. Well I did not do it. I fought like hell to keep going. I had tears down my face on numerous occasions. It fucking sucked!!! But I did make it through this hell. Everyone is different so I’m not telling you to do what I did but I can tell you the things that helped me a lot.

Walking. I walked my ass off. It was the one thing that gave me relief.

water I drank a ton of it. A few gallons a day.

weed I smoked and ate a bunch of it so I could get a few hours sleep.

decompression therapy it seemed to help.

good luck and I feel for you.

I've had that for awhile. I'll get an alert that someone liked a post, so I go see which one it is (because I have the memory of a goldfish). Then I see 7 other people liked it too. Only get the one alert though....

Makes sense. I'm a welder by trade though, which means I'm a prima donna. Things not functioning in a way that makes me perfectly comfortable is ground for a temper tantrum. At the very least, I'm gonna gripe about it. :D

I’m an engineer by trade and a little OCD so now that I know it’s not like it used to be I’d gripe too! :)
