theres bound to be a way to run some bellcrank or push rod linkage, maybe recessed and run with the tire iron.

    It's good
Now it's all making sense, ditch the stud that can affect free spool and beat up syn line. Attach line with wraps and no stud.
    Thanks @FrenchToasty !

I tried to find videos or more info from when I ordered mine, I think you still need to use the stud, but this prevents the stress on the stud and on the line at the stud, again it helps keep minimal wraps on your drum without risk of the line coming all the way off

I found a couple of videos, I'll look at it some more, but I'm pretty sure you can ditch the stud.

Wouldnt the stud be useful holding tension while you bust out the shovels? I thought that was the static limit (maybe moreso on small winches.)

The stud on mine is a screw to be used as a line end keeper, no load bearing at all. the initial 8-10 wraps on the drum are what can have a load. But these set up the wraps so you can't unspool past them. The Red Winch Plasma lock is the same but longer to lock down more initial wraps

This illustration shows how the wraps to the left holds the webbing loop on the right in place preventing spooling past the minimum wrap.
You don't turn the drum to get the initial wraps on, you feed the line around the stationary drum. That allow you to create a stop point.

I didn't even know what this was an hour ago, lol.

Ok, guys, some quick advice please. Looks like my dust shields are rubbing post lift install. Jason said it’ll be fine but I’m thinking I can at least try to fix it. Should I remove one wheel at a time and whack it with a hammer or take it to a shop or is it something I can do with the right technique with the wheels on?

Lol. He’s a fan of the best gen but man, he literally thought his truck wasn’t good enough because of all the mods he’s seen on other Tacos and 4Runners.

I like the look of this very much!
What vendor did the headlights come from, is a new housing included in the price? Ballpark the cost, if you don't mind!
This is exactly the route that I want to go, my current lights are pathetic at best!
I really need way better color temp & many more Lumins!
Looking for an upgrade, help me spend some bucks!

That looks like a 3/4", maybe 7.8" 4 flute end mill, you snap one of these, you are reading the "Speeds & Feeds" chart wrong!!

Thanks but I spent more than I prob had to for light. I like driving to far off destinations in the middle of the night and tired of driving blind, that’s why I treated myself to the Morimoto 2.0.

    Hahaha. It does a bit.

    It is.

1/2" actually. Low speed, low feed and cutting fluid.

Granted its completely manual so no worries about inputting the wrong settings and letting it go.

You noticed it huh. Looks even better in person cause the amber portion stands out more. That light bar was one of the first mods I did on my own(maybe why I like it so much). Nothing fancy, think it was $180 no name brand but uses bulbs from the same manufacturer as top name brands(Cree if I remember correctly). Sealed it up with silicone and knock on wood, it’s held up fairly well through multiple river crossings.
I know it’s nothing special but one of my fav parts of my truck.

I'm probably going to try to take two weeks off for it, maybe bring the mobile office again.
