    Hey,

Just delivered today, Yokohama Geolander M/T 295/70/18 tires! :) The tires are a nice jump in size from the stock tires.

Hopefully, the new wheels (offset +18) will be delivered this week. I plan on installing a Rough Country leveling kit tomorrow. I'll post pics once it's all done.

I finally had time to stop by Discount Tire last night...Man! I'm loving it. Huge difference with aftermarket wheels and tires. My set-up is as follows:

    Rough Country 1.75" leveling kit
    295/70/18 Yokohama M/T tires
    Vision 375 Warrior 18x8.5 wheels
I've started to black out the emblems

The best part, no rubbing. Please let me know if you have any questions...

I just bought some of these for my 4Runner but in a 37x12.5. I am excited, been wanting to try them for a while.

    How is the road noise?

Wow, the Geolanders look awesome!! Thanks for the photo. I've had a lot of MTs so I know there's some noise to be expected, but never had the Geolanders. Did they make a huge noise difference in the 3G Tundra? Been reading up on them for my FJ and they are supposedly quieter than a lot of MTs. Also, did you have to pin the free corner of the fender liner back? Can't wait to get my 3G in Army Green and do something similar!

    My recommendation...
    1. Grab a video camera, cell phone, or GoPro
    2. Video your DIY installation of the leveling kit
    3. Post to YouTube
    4. Let the ad revenue roll in as the first YouTuber to post a DIY installation video of a lift on a 2022 Tundra

With my set-up, the tires stick out just shy of 1.5 inches
As expected, there is some road noise but not too bad. Out of all the m/t tires I've had in the past, the Milestar Patagonia M/T had the least amount of road noise.

I wish now I videotaped the install. :(
I've probably installed about 10 spacer/leveling kits and they are all about the same. What I found unique about this kit is that you have to cut the factory studs to a length of 5/8" for each strut. Basically, once you cut the strut, I doubt you can reuse it to go back to stock (if you so desired).

Also, the instructions mention loosening the bolts for the lower control arm. I was able to push down enough to avoid loosening

Same for me on the installs. Done leveling kits and/or full lifts on just about everything I've ever owned.

Good to know cutting the studs. That is pretty unique. In looking at the instructions off the RC website, it doesn't look like you're shortening the studs too much. Are you just taking off that "top hat" on the stud for clearancing or are you taking a bunch of threads off too?

    Looks great.

Can you measure the height of the front and rear arches? The 1.75” lift appears spot on.

    Thanks everyone...

It's a little more than just the "top hat" that needs to be cut. :(

I purchased emblem overlays on ebay. It's a hit or miss. The Toyota logo on the front grille will require an eight inch overlay. For the "Tundra" logo on the side, an overlay from a 2021 model year will work. The "4x4" and "SR5" are different sizes.

With the leveling kit, back-end remains just about 1" higher than the front.

Thanks for the info on the level kit…I was worried that if this 1.75 kit truly leveled it then the Wescott 3/1 would put the front end higher (and I am not a fan of the wheelie look going down the street with an empty bed)

It was measured to be level in the wescott video but this “indiscernible rake” from RC looks right on.

Westcott will eventually have a kit that does not lift the front 3”. Probably more close to a 2/1 option.

I'm pretty sure you can get about a 2/1 lift with Westcott. It's a full 3 inch lift in front if you use the top shim plate (basically a top strut mount spacer) in the kit. If you use just the lower preload collar in front, I would think it's about 2", since the top shim looks to be almost 1" thickness.

I agree. The collar probably adds around 2” and the shim around 1” by the looks of it.
