I do laugh when hear “competitive with rivals” etc as I have quite of 93k for a raptor with lowest being 88. The GMC AT4 new 22 version, 86k from one and 85 from another.. so folks need to understand 55 k for a truck is a starter truck nowadays! Lol.

I'm finding some 2022 Raptors in the mid to upper $70's for sale (I know some fully decked out are higher).
You can go to the Ford website and build a 2022 Raptor with a few minor upgrades for $66K (net price)
If Toyota thinks they are going to have a starting price for a Pro over $65K they are fools as are the ones buying it.

If pricing a gmc, youll get the best deals at laura gmc in illinois, or everett in benton arkansas. They are the two largest volume dealers. I got my 19 slt 15k off msrp at everett back then. I know that was before all the price hikes, but i doubt even today theyll be over msrp.

Read through the specs on Toyota.com and compared the Pro to the Limited. Really surprised me that the Pro comes standard with every option you can get on a Limited, but you can’t get a heated steering wheel on the Pro. It’s only like a $370 option on the Limited. Anyone know why a heated steering wheel isn’t even an option on the Pro?

The Pros have some weird optioning, like not having a digital mirror, HUD, motorized steering column, memory seats. No pano roof on the Sequoia either.

Wonder if we will be able to plug and play the digital mirror at least.. since I noticed the Pro does have the cameras needed for this to work. Not including the HUD is just weird.. for the price we pay why not?

Maybe because the TRD Pro is supposed to be the higher end off-road model and the Capstone the on-road model? I don't really know.

I imagine they easily determined what their volume sales leader would be, then designed their packages to encourage ample trim walking in order to increase their margins, while benchmarking their competitors. I wouldn't expect a for-profit corporation to design a model that could meet absolutely everyone's needs; value, fuel economy, HP, torque, towing and payload capacity, off-road capability and ride quality etc.

i haven’t seen all the options yet, but the HID not being available is consistent with the 1794 optioning. When you select the TRD Off-road package the HUD isn’t allowed. Not sure why that is actually. I would also venture to say that this is all 1st year options, for 2023 they might spread them around more (I hope!).

I have had a deposit on a TRD Pro since late November/early December. My salesman told me I am first in line of 3 Pro buyers so I would get mine first and they are excited about it, as much as I am. In recent talks with my wife, she made me think why I am getting the Pro and not opting for the Platinum that has way more tech for the money and some nicer things interior-wise. I’ve never had lifted trucks only had leveling kits which is enough for me with a good sized tire/spacer setup. The Platinum comes with HUD, towing mirror option(same as Pro), power running boards/bed step, interior ambient lighting, black headliner/blue stitching, digital RVM, heated/ventilated rear seats, rear air adjustable suspension. Options, me personally, I would like to have now that I’ve already had off-road pickups with less tech than higher luxury trims. For the money I feel it’s a better fit for me and my family down the road. My only gripe is that I can’t get it in Lunar Rock so I will probably opt for Blueprint but with hopes that it doesn’t show as much dirt and scratches as my current blacked out Silverado. And I can have the damn chrome wrapped and deleted. I don’t care much for the Platinum wheels and tires so I’ll see if I can swap those out too. My question to some of you is: with the rear air suspension on the Platinum, does it allow for a leveling kit or sorts in the front? I’m assuming it would be stupid to get the air suspension and then have the dealer install the OEM lift kit with the tire and wheel package it comes with (35s) in pictures and vids online. So I’ll probably just try for a leveling kit and new tire/wheels setup. Any opinions and ideas are welcome. Just running some thoughts through my mind before I am able to place the order on an iForce MAX model.. needed some help with my decision. I’m also guessing with all the options I’d add to the Platinum, it will be right up there in price with the Pro if not more especially with that MAX engine option

if u are at MSRP on the pro, take delivery of it and see how like it, then you can order a 2023 plat however u want it if you want to switch it out, you wont lose any money on the deal. (if no mark up on pro). if they are charging you crazy money for the pro and u think u like the plat walk away and order the plat, but find a dealer at MSRP. you are the only one that can decide what is best for you.

Personal decision of course, but I have no desire for HUD. Also, living in the North if I am going to have steps I'd want them fixed, not power. Rear seats I don't care if they are heated or not, not my problem. I know I am not you, but I'd get the Pro.

It’s a tough decision for sure. Salesman told me on multiple occasions that they’re not price gauging the MSRP or anything so I would be good in that regard. My deposit is also fully refundable so I guess that’s not a bad idea to order the Pro and see if I like it.. if not I can walk away and order a Platinum instead. I’m loving the way the Lunar Rock looks and was super excited about the Pro until I saw there’s a good amount of options you can’t add on it. I actually work out of my truck quite often so the bed step thing pisses me off too which is why I want the power bed step. And running boards for my family to get into the truck easier

Agreed on the running boards as I also have little ones, I just don't want power.

At least with the other off road packages the bed step can still be added, just not the power running boards. I assume fixed ones can be added though.

I don't think anyone is offering a leveling kit that works in the rear with the air suspension. I assume that someone will make one soon. The OEM lift is probably also for the non-air suspension trucks also.

The chrome on the Platinum is more tolerable since it is dark and matches the grill (no mustache that stands out) and looks pretty nice. Pro grill does look the best though!

UPDATE: my salesman informed me if I change the order now, that will put me to the back of the line since they input the model number for the “order” which is essentially a place holder when you put a deposit down. I put a deposit down super early when they weren’t charging $10k over MSRP so I’m locked into paying sticker for the Pro so I’m definitely going to take delivery of the Lunar Rock Pro and most likely be happy with that. They are now charging $10k above sticker on all Pros which is most likely a brand-wide thing. I’m assuming Capstone also but he said no other models besides Pro so far. I would not pay that idc what the truck has in it.. would rather keep my Silverado in that case

Did they give you any idea when your pro might be built and delivered? I wonder how long the wait is on these things.

10/4 thanks. Were you able to add any options, or does the pro pretty much come as is? Ive noticed some of them in the reviews have body colored handles and mirrors and some have black. And some have just a plain stamped tailgate, and some have red or black lettering decals. I don’t know if these were options, or that these pre production trucks just had different things slapped on them.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Add the name of this shit bag dealership to the dealer markup database.

There’s currently no configurator for them to place an exact order just yet. I’m hoping by the end of February there will be and we can officially order the damn thing already. Once I can do that, I’ll be posting all my options I was able to choose from and what I picked so everybody can see if somebody doesn’t beat me to it. I would assume I’m one of the first that will be ordering in North Jersey cuz I put that deposit down super early. I know what you mean, I saw a ton of different exterior features on different videos and reviews people did. I’m curious myself. I’ll be opting for the towing mirror s so I believe they are all black and not color matching but I’m curious myself to see all the options you can add to the Pro. I’m praying you could add those power folding running boards and bed step but right now they’re not even optional on the Specs page on Toyotas website when you compare models.. if you open this link with your phone you’ll have to turn it landscape to show the Pro next to the 1794 and Capstone.. https://www.toyota.com/tundra/2022/features/

I'm guessing you can chalk up a lot of those differences to being preproduction.

I guess if im gonna order one, i need to go ahead and do it soon, so i can get in line. At least we can always add these exterior things ourselves, if their not an option fron the factory.

The only option listed for the pro is tow mirrors. On Toyota website if u compare vehicles u can see what pro has standard and what is available as an option.
