looking to swap out my tires for some 35’s and wondered if any rubbing occurs without a leveling kit. If a leveling kit IS needed, what’s the least amount of height is needed to accommodate 35’s?

If you do the Wescott Designs lift you’ll have no issue. I’m planning on doing that with 295/70r18’s on the stock wheels.

there are a handful of guys running 34x11.5 and 35x11’s with no issues and no lift on the Facebook group. You can do 35x12.5’s but will need to move back the rear fender liner- super easy

Looking to do a 2in level on the front only, to accommodate 35’s. Blackjack off-road here in San Antonio TX does tons of them for the dealerships.

You should be totally fine then. Wheel offset 35-0 is ideal depending on how much "poke" you want. Personally i wouldn't go over 18+ offset if it was me- too much tire sticking out

Just finished installing Toyota Tonneau cover. Moved rails down and added rails for tonneau. All came in the kit from Sparks. Will put on Toyota running boards tomorrow.

Got these flat oval running boards and bolts from Sparks. Install was simple once I figured out that the bolts were already on the truck. Just loosen top bolt on each end and slide the bracket on and tighten and then put in rest of bolts. 84395D1B-B6CF-465F-BF74-A8E7C8F30B27.jpg84395D1B-B6CF-465F-BF74-A8E7C8F30B27.jpg

You've got the 5.5' bed so your part number was PT954-34220-02, correct?

I cannot wait to get mine installed. The dealership called this morning, and the tonneau cover is in. He mentioned the box is super heavy and asked me to call them before I came so they could schedule pickup. I won't be able to pick it up until Friday afternoon, so this is going to be my Saturday morning project. I'm pretty excited!

I have MS and a heart condition and picked up the tonneau box and put it in my bed myself. The rails are a bit heavier, but still not too bad. Your dealership is full of babies lol.

Any reason for the diagonal drain run? I just went straight down on my install to shorten the runs and keep them tucked in the corner.

MSRP is $1195, I believe. Though if you can snag it via parts.toyota.com, lots of dealers are offering between 10% - 15% off right now. Even at my local dealer (they don't participate in parts.toyota.com BTW) they gave me 10% discount off MSRP.

It's about $200-$250 more than almost the exact same tri-fold cover in the aftermarket which is the BakFlip MX4. The problem is the OEM bed cover is available now. BakFlip won't release theirs for another month or so.

I just followed instructions on where to put drains. Straight down would be cleaner. There were holes already present and Toyota said to be careful not to drill into gas tank if you drill other holes. I am an basically learning as I go.

Sparks had it, $972.63 plus shipping. I talked to them prior to them putting online. I see now it is priced higher on the website, maybe demand. Be sure to ask for ship discount too!

Yes. 5.5’. I put it in myself. Heavy part is the cover itself, lifting onto rails. I got instruction off this site. Very Helpful!!

I am running 295/70/18s on stock OR wheels and bo leveling with no rub. Works out to 34.3 around and 11.6 across.

    Tires are Atturo Trailblade.

From my understanding you may need at lease that 2” level in front to avoid rubbing.

How do ya'll think flat finish white or color matching paint or chrome insert decals would look on the front bumper? Not aware of any being available, yet.

I think you mentioned that you have an SR5. Is it a Sport model or something? Just curious because I've only seen that black trim at the top of the tailgate on the SR models.

Also...in looking at your bumper...it looks like it has OEM plastic trim pieces ("caps" maybe?) over the 2 areas where the chrome peaks out on the other models. I wonder if those body pieces will eventually be able to order from Toyota to cover the chrome? If so, I might try & order them in the future to see if I can cover the chrome. It would be interesting to try.

If you ever get adventurous...see if you can pop those off and take a look at what is underneath. :D I wonder if you'll find the chrome just covered up or just a steel bumper. :monocle:

I would keep it as is honestly. It actually looks pretty good, the right amount of break in color in the right areas. long live the imperium!

It's a base SR5 trim, painted white painted plastic bumper corners, where the chrome is on some bumpers. They're not covering other bumper parts. Have not looked in person at chrome bumper parts, only in photos, but the white parts are replaceable:

Sorry. I should've have been clearer. The bumper ends are all paint matched on all models. I'm referring to the chrome on the upper trim SR5s which is in the middle of the bumper. Your truck seems to have black trim pieces that cover that chrome. See my pic below.
