Beaverton is $177 below for 4x4. $2,500 ish below for 4x2. They’ve had a 4x2 TRD off-road on their lot for weeks ha

Wilsonville is $250 below for 4x4 and just got allocated quite a few. They have two limited crew max 4x4 long beds coming in as of a few days ago. Both with TRD off-road package which I don’t want though.

 

Talked with Moss Bros Toyota and they asking $80k for Limited Crewmax, but wanted me to come in for “negotiations as they will drop the price down” What a joke!

I’m done searching around for a truck. Just going to wait for my allocation from Longo at MSRP.

 

Got my Limited for MSRP at Hall Toyota in VA beach. They are selling them with a 5k market adjustment but I was able to negotiate it down. Traded my Tacoma for a great deal as well.

I think many dealers are advertising above MSRP but ultimately do need to move inventory and will probably work with you.

I was happy with my experience with them. Took a couple walkouts but ultimately got the deal done that worked for me.

The dealers that won’t budge shouldn’t be worked with unless you just don’t care about money and need to have the newest truck on your street.

 

I may try that with ones that asking around $5000 above. I’m not sure I can bring Moss Bross down to MSRP if they starting up with $20k

 

I would say you’re probably right. 20k is crazy.

I just stuck to my guns and said MSRP or I’ll wait. But my situation is different. This truck was purely a want. Someone in need of one without trade leverage may have a different outcome!

Crazy, Market adjustment Prices. Autonation was MSRP and one add on that's working with a General Manager that I know. Courtesy TOYOTA is 3999 and add on. Daytona TOYOTA 4999 "Lifetime oil changes and drivetrain warranty"

How are you guys doing with trade in offers or Are you selling it to CARMAX, VROOM?

 

I got 2k more from a dealer for a trade on my Tacoma and 6k more than Carvana’s offer. Couldn’t believe it!

I can tell you from 2x first hand experience over the past nine months that these are extraordinary times in the automobile industry.
In most situations, there’s two parts to every deal; first part is the purchase of the new vehicle, and the second part involves a trade if one is applicable.
The downside of this extraordinary market is obviously on the supply side of inventory. And as we all know, virtually any and every new vehicle regardless of make model or class sells at or near MSRP. The upside of this market, however, is that if you have a relatively new and good condition preowned vehicle, you will get top, top dollar for it.
In both of my situations, I have actually received very good offers from Carvana and from Carmax. When comparing those to a trade-in for the new vehicles I purchased, the auto dealer offered nominally less for the trade, but when you offset the tax differences that you gain from the trade it’s a no brainer to do the entire deal at the auto dealer.

 

Findlay Toyota in Las Vegas, NV is quoting minimal if any markups and are receiving a large allocation.

That was a good video. The explanation of how lobbyist protect the franchise model is a great example of something that sounds good on paper but doesn’t necessarily come to fruition in real life in Texas lol

7500 markup , tax and licensing fees

 

That’s disappointing Moss Bros is trying to charge anywhere near $80k. I bought my 2010 from them a decade ago and it was a great experience. Everyone from sales to finance was super cool and I got a great deal.

 

Went to local Toyota dealership Monday (wife thinking of RAV4 prime and I was hoping to catch a glimpse of tunda )and every price sticker had $5995 market adjustment. No thx….Peoria…

 

be careful about RAV4 Prime, Toyota soon will run out of $7500 federal tax credit, if new EV bill doesn't get passed to renew another round of credits

 

Went to Toyota of Smithfield RI today to put a deposit as advertised MSRP. Then they show me they add dealer ceramic coating and noxoturl rust coating... For 3k! So dealer markup plus free coatings lol.

Autonation MSRP No MAP. If you have a relationship at the dealership with management you could work out a deal with just 1 add on. The other dealers I have dealt with in the past couple of months are really arrogant and rude when it comes to working a deal with them. Florida experienced so far really crazy market and rude sale representatives.

Sorry if mentioned already...but no MSRP markup here in north Idaho at Rogers Toyota in Lewiston where I ordered a build, Parker Toyota of CDA, Lithia out of Billings, MT; Autonation in Spokane, Rogers Toyota of Hermiston, Columbia Gorge Toyota of Oregon.

All of these dealers with the exception of Lithia and Columbia are prioritizing local buyers, so there is that.
