    Will do. Hell, i would even settle for the cost of OEM leds if they wouldn't do the full amount. $600 is better than 0.

    I submitted the invoices and just a general request for compensation. But as I already posted my request is denied pending Toyota's fix. As Ive mentioned before you may only be due compensation if you changed out your lights prior to the official recall notice was posted. There's little reason to submit it now if you purchased lights after the recall went into effect unless you want to try for the heck of it but so far no one is getting reimbursed if you changed after the notice.

    Thats because the purchase would have needed to be completed before the recall notice.

    Same thing that mine says. I have the Morimoto XB's though. If they say no due to the cost or because they are aftermarket, maybe I can appeal and get the cost of the TRD Pro leds. $640 is better then 0.

    I just submitted my claim today for the LED lights and the harness from Ihacker as well. :fingerscrossed:

    I never got this recall in the mail.... But I also bought it from an individual back in FEB 2021.... Is there anyway to get a copy of it? I mean i do see it in my Toyota APP...

    The recall came out in Sept of 21 but would have been mailed to the very first owner. If you see that you are affected by the recall, all you have to do is monitor the site for the repair update. Chances are someone will most likely post it here on the forum before you check it on the site. One the fix is.out, contact your dealer with the VIN and set it up from there.

    I never got anything in the mail either, and I am the original owner. I did see it on the app however after reading on this forum and checking.

    It is strange because my wifes 2011 matrix has has an airbag recall for months and I just get absolutely bombarded with text messages, emails and letters stating i need to take it in. I probably should one of these days but it doesnt get driven much lately......

    The recall applies to halogen lights. Owners may receive a reimbursement if they have replaced their halogen lights prior to the recall being issued in Sept. All reimbursements are currently on hold as Toyota works the remedy, but anyone that purchased leds after the recall release will not get reimbursed. If you have a halogen that is out, they will most likely replace it with another halogen as a permanent fix is not out yet.

    Gotcha. I bought my Morimotos in late 2020. I might not get $1100 but maybe I'll get the cost of the OEM Pro Leds from Toyota.

    I am expecting them to give me some excuse as to why they cant, but i laid it on pretty thick on the justification for reimbursement letter.

    I would think that they will approve them. It will save them parts, appointments, and labor costs. I basically just wrote mine using what the OP wrote as a guide.

    I just swapped out my springs, and I already have all the stuff to reinstall my train horns and my Rigid led pods.....once my grill comes in.....which just got pushed out another month.
