    I have a 2007 Tundra with 88k miles
When have most of you been changing your plugs and timing belt?

yep bank account is running low from it..
the 5.7 or (3uz-fe) uses a timing chain not a belt. The chain rarely has to be changed unless you have 300,000 plus miles on it even then it still might be good.

As for spark plugs every 60,000 miles they should be changed or 5 years. For best performance change them every 30,000 miles or every 2.5 years.

I changed my OEM iridiums at 50K although manual said at 130K which seemed extreme. At 50K plugs were still like new and didn't need replacing yet but put NGK's in anyways. The AT fluid isn't changed until 100K. Not super keen on that either.

What do you think about waiting 100K for AT?
Imagine what the dealer would charge to replace a timing chain if the 3u h ad one? Geesh. I'd have to buy a horse.

Its a sealed gearbox. So nothing can get in or out of it without leaking.

100,000 would be fine best to change it at 60,000 or even 30,000 would be best to get rid of any contaminants in the oil, from break in when the truck was new plus get rid of any loose metal shavings.

That's what I was thinking. When I first got the truck I tried to check the AT level. No dip stick, then I RTFM and realized no AT till 100K. You'd think maybe changing after 5K new and then shoot for 100K. Going to check AT change prices around here. Don't like not knowing what condition the fluid is.

Imagine my surprise when I looked for my oil filter for 30 minutes. Then realized what bee-yahch it would be to change the oil which I obviously don't do myself anymore.

I normally tell people to wait until 100k miles to change plugs. They're made to go that long, and a lot of people notice no change in mpg or performance, even well over 100k miles.

I think 60k is a good start for the AT...better safe than sorry.
