I was 16 the first time my parents heard me really cut loose with the cussing. I'd generally kept it on the down low around them with "damn" and "shit" really being the worst ones infrequently used. Then it happened.

They had gone out somewhere and I had stayed home to do some wrenching on my truck. I can't remember exactly what I was doing, but I was on my back under the truck and a bolt was stuck and being a pain in the ass. I was hot, tired, mad and I was reefing on it as hard as I good and the wrench slipped, slamming my knuckles into some thing. Let's just say the words and phrases that I yelled won't be printed here in case one of y'all have a kid reading over your shoulder. The air turned blue under the truck. I slid out from underneath sucking on my bloody hand and there was mom and dad just staring at me. Mom rolled her eyes and went into the house, dad smirked and went "rapped your knuckles eh?".

Reminds me trying to squeeze two wrenches from the wheel well, replacing my fog lights the other day. Didn’t rap my knuckles but it was a PIA!

I remember growing up in a very strict family and I never heard my father swear until the day he found me chucking broken bricks at my neighbors old barn. It was cool! The wood would splinter into pieces, causing nice holes in the wood. What I didn’t know was there was a model A stored inside the barn that the bricks were bouncing off of. Yep got introduced to the really bad words that day. Couldn’t sit for week after that!

Well, that’s cool! Planted hops, harvested them, dried and vacuum sealed them. Brewed beer with my own hops and drank the first one tonight!1597F4B5-D71C-4B36-883E-7D784D570881.jpg

    This one is an IPA,
I used Cascade & Crystal hops
    Appearance: Orange-Tinted Copper
Aroma: Intense Citrus, Floral & Fruity Characteristics; Pine notes
    Flavor:Fruity and Piney Flavors;
Hop Bitterness is a bit too intense, this should mellow as it matures; Nice malty Backbone for Balance

The other batch I made with my own hops is a wheat beer and should be ready to sample next week. Definitely a lot of fun! I wish I could test for the acid content, but that’s not doable, and a laboratory test is over $200.

    Testing is not cheap.

I bet that one is tasty as well.

Seeing the finished product after producing your own materials is awesome!

Yeah. I mean, if you're going to mix soda with it at least use Coke. Pepsi is nasty.

I haven’t had any soda in decades, but if I was drinking it, it would need to be at least 1/2 booze

You need to have a Gosolo rating system, like 1 to 5 blades, 5 blades being the best.

Pepsi pays me more, so Pepsi taste better. To be fair....the ratio isn't mixed to the typical standard of a mixed drink. I make mine quite a bit stronger most of the time. Wife said she smells the jack through my pores after 1 or 2 of "my" drinks lol

Lighting does throw it off. I originally poured it about 50/50, then topped with a lil more after I took a sip

Yeah it’s never left the family. My dad got it from grandma when I was a kid, pretty sure his brothers and sisters weren’t happy about that, but totally refinished it, it’s got 3 removable leafs and can sit 12-14 when expanded
