Those cloth diapers are awesome rags

 

When we were young and pretty poor, and didn’t yet have our own washing machine, we used the local laundrymat.
The local population included some folks who would throw those soiled diapers in the machines and that is when we bought our first one. Used, good condition, $50.00. Set outdoors on a pallet and fed the water with a garden hose. Nasty shit X 10!

 

Yeah - we used a service. Fuhk that noise

 

We just hung ours from a clothesline and beat it out like a rug.

Hahaha no, sorry not you. I recently had to tell my son he had to start watching his language around his toddlers. My 3 year granddaughter responded that way recently and your comment reminded me about it. He needed to get that under control before her preschool started.

 

I have my first kid on the way soon. I was telling The Woman that we'll have to tone it down a bit. I'm a welder by trade, some days I'll use the word "fuck" like a comma. She can curse with the best of them at times too. Fortunately, we're both pretty good at watching out language around kids and folks with more delicate sensibilities.

 

Welders are cool, my best man is a 30+ year welder and does things I couldn’t imagine doing.

 

Yep, my son and daughter-in-law were the same. It just came out naturally but they have come to see their ways need to change when the babysitter brought it up recently. Congrats on your new one on the way. Enjoy them when they are small, they grow up quickly.

You’ll never shield them from bad words.
Kids should know the bad words.
That way they know you mean business.

Plus, it’s good for laughs from time to time.

They know what bad words are, when they’re supposed to be used and when not.
Once they hit 6-7 they’ll start pointing out when you’re using them improperly.

 

Yeah, I never really held my tongue much in front of the kids. They just knew which ones not to say and never slipped up. Once they decided they were old enough the flood gates opened. They figured if they were old enough to drive, work and get themselves to school on time they could swear when appropriate. I agreed.
