It wouldn't stick unless you prep it properly. Your best bet honestly is have them Line-X'ed.

I have this as well and really like it my only complaint about it is that it gets really got during the summer.

 

Funny you say that. It’s was in the 20’s when I got up and the shifter was COLD! I guess thats as good a reason to get a remote starter.

Bed liner will not work on chrome for long, it relays on mechanical adhesion. I guess you cold grind them but that’s a lot of work. I have tested por15 on stainless which is part chrome. And it holds up amazingly well in the Pacific Northwest wet climate. I would do a test dot and se how it does. Just a thought for a inexpensive solution.

Today I wrapped it.

 

I have those same running boards, I like the size and profile of them too. They are stainless steel, they were also made in black. I happen to like them in stainless on my black truck. Powdercoat will adhere to stainless so you could disassemble them and have them powdercoated any color you want.

 

For anyone who has done the MESO customs map lights, the install video shows how to remove the entire overhead console. Can these be done without actually removing it?

And really cold in the winter! It's 13 degrees this morning and the shifter seems like it's -50. I usually rested my hand on the leather TRD shifter, won't be doing that with this one until is warms.

Could I get a favor from the next one who puts an under the back seat storage box in their crewmax? Could you measure how much depth there is from the deck/sheet metal to the top of the carpet?

I'm looking to put some deeper subs in my truck because the shallow mount subs are just not performing like I want and I don't think they ever will no matter what I do. I'm wondering if there is enough depth to make sub boxes that would support a deeper sub speaker.

 

Another option here would be plastidip. I plastidipped my oem chrome boards maybe 6 months ago. Its held up surprisingly well to car washes and regular daily use. I've had to touch up one spot but literally 10 seconds with a spray can and it blends perfectly. Plus if you decide you don't like it you can just peel it back off. Sort of a before/after

Made a DIY axe mount out of unistrut and quickfists. Got a bed mat for Xmas too.

That would be great! Once you cut out the foam I would like to know how deep the hole is from the top of the carpet to the steel.

 

Did not know the front sway was hollow, replaced the rear and it made a difference, looks like the front may be my next mod.
