    1st Gens are the "Baby Tundras" 2nd & 3rd are the big ones! My "Dream Tundra" a 1st Gen with the Engine & tranny from a 2nd or 3rd Gen!

    Lets get crazy. How about a 3u in a FJ40? Or, an old Geo Metro power plant in a Tundra.Would get good MPG because it wouldn't ever move. Wait: MPG's would suck.

    3u is a heavy engine. Fj40 would need frame work done just for weight alone Geo metro that engine would crush the lightweight frame and unibody work.

    Put it in a supra and go home.

    Shoot's my Geo Mod out the window. The 3u is aluminum block. Not crazy heavy but like you said with a few tweaks and the transmission issue, someone might figure it out. I would definitely want a ride.

    Thats why I have a 2u engine all cast iron.. 3uz I think weights 350 or 400 I can't remember.

    I have a friend with an FJ40 with a Vortec 350 and NV4500 5 spd. No frame mods required.
