OEM Bed Cover - Install Instructions (Downloadable)

The OEM bed cover doesn't come with installation instructions, and I've seen folks complain about not being able to get them from their local dealership. Here they are.

Install is pretty self-explanatory, but if you're used to the "U clamps" from the 2007-2021 Tundra, the 2022 Tundra rail mounts are slightly different. This is why the 2007-2021 BakFlip MX4, and other bed covers like it, don't have a great fitment for the new bed of the 2022 Tundra.

Here are the Toyota Installation instructions. It covers the following two part #'s:

• PT954-34220-02 - OEM Cover for 5.5' Bed
• PT954-34221-02 - OEM Cover for 6.5' Bed

Thank you! Just ordered the cover and printed the instructions you linked. FYI covers for the 5.5' bed are backordered by 154 this week in the Texas gulf region. Three week estimated wait time.

There's a backlog of 500 plus on those covers, I have tried to get one and that's what the many dealers are telling me! Consider yourself lucky that you found one! Thanks for the video

 

I bought cover from dealer. No instructions. This post was very helpful. Thanks. However, my cover is different for mounting. It came with two bolts on each side, nuts and cotter pins instead of knob to secure, and spacers that are not shown on instructions. Does anyone know where the spacers go? I placed them between the cover and the mounting bracket. Does anyone have the instructions that go with this new model cover?
