They text me right back this morning with a color code suggestion. Parts ordered! So far great service.

Man, thirty more minutes and the weekend starts!

What ya’all doing this weekend? We somehow have both days wide open, which is crazy. Think I’m going to detail the truck tomorrow if this monsoon stops. Then some chores around the house.

Take down exterior holiday decorations. Drink beer or other adult beverage. House chores. Drink another beverage. I should also install my Six shooter controller. Ditch lights are bolted up but not wired.

Replacing the sinks in two bathrooms. That might take a few hours tomorrow or all fuhking weekend…depends what I find when I pull the old ones off the wall.

And consoling my 20-yr-old daughter, who broke up with her boyfriend of ~2-1/2 years last night. It was mutual, they both need some time to figure out what they want to do in life…but that doesn’t lessen the blow.

    Which mountain?

Nevermind - just saw the response

I think Schweitzer. But take your pick I think I’ve got 5 within an hour of me. Probably rotate around and see which one is most kid friendly.

Sounds like a busy weekend. Hopefully your daughter perks up quickly. Always sucks. Have her help you with the plumbing to keep her busy if you can. It'll take things off her mind momentarily.

I grew up riding Schweitzer. It was 25 min from my house to the lodge. I miss it so much…nothing over here compares.

I’ve actually never been to Silver, Mt. spokane, or 49North. I have hit Whitewater and Fairmont though up in BC.

I’m tempted to say fug it, get the sinks done, and haul ass to MT/ID for a few days with her and me other daughter anyway. Get her mind off stuff. Gonna have to talk with the wife some more tonight…

I’ve only rode Schweitzer twice and Mt. Spokane once. I grew up in Boise and had a cabin in McCall so grew up riding Brundage a lot. 30+ times a year. Hoping to get the kiddos hooked on it so I can start going that often again.

Nice. I got two days on Mt. Baldy back in Feb ‘92 when snowboards were only allowed on part of the mountain. Never gotten to hit Brundage yet.

I’m partial to Schweitzer but tickets aren’t cheap any more. I’ve got season passes for all of us to Hood - I should just go up there with them next week.

Brundage is legit. If you ever get the chance, go. The saying of best snow in Idaho is true.

Luckily both my kids are under 6 so they are free. Just have to buy a ticket for me.

    Hood sounds like fun!

My brother lives in McCall and once the girls (4&6) are old enough and able to ski/board we wanna take ‘em down there. I just picked up snowboarding last year after 16years off! Like a bicycle. I love it

Yeah - 2018 I started up again after about 12 years off. My two daughters got interested because they had friends and our foreign exchange student was a skier.

I’m so glad I haven’t wanted to pick skiing back up. Loved it as a kid. It is just such a time and money suck for casual skiers. I hated having to find time to ski just to help justify all the money I spent on gear.

    Hopefully when I retire…

It sure ain’t cheap! I remember going to Big Sky, MT as a kid every year and the lift ticket price would jump every year. You gotta be a millionaire to take your family of 4+ for the day, and that’s without rentals or food!

Yeah. I remember Schweitzer was $20 for a full day student, and a $5 adder for night skiing on the weekend. And the “donate two cans of food” days, or buying discount passes at the Safeway in town.
