I'm a new kid on the block. 85 year old in Kentucky. I bought my deceased brother's Tundra Crew Cab 2006 SR5. The spare tire tool kit was NOT in the truck and I am looking for one. Will the 2007 Tunra tools work on the 2006? There seems to be a void on 2006 tools, like there was never any made. None of the aftermarket people advertise 2006 tools. I don't need the jack just the lug wrench and drop down tools.

The drop-down tool and the bottle jack should work just fine. The lug nuts are different sizes though. If I can remember correctly the 2007+ is a 22mm and your 06 should be 21mm, maybe? Don't quote me on that exact size but there are different I promise so the lug wrench will not be interchangeable.

    And welcome to the forum!!

Edit: If all else fails, run to harbor freight and pick-up a cheap breaker bar and the correct size socket and it will probably be better than the included tool any ways.

Welcome from OKC! As soon as you get some tools, drop down and verify condition of the spare sidewalls before you need to depend on it. Many rub pretty bad! Some pipe insulation on the bracketry/framework can help substantially.

Alright, it was bugging me to leave my answer at I don't know exactly, so I checked. I can confirm, your truck 06 is a 21mm socket, where an 07+ truck is in fact a 22mm. I also pulled the drop kit out of my truck and my brother's truck for a side-by-side comparison.

On the left is my brother's 04, on the right is my 2012, the drop hooks are basically identical but the 04 kit has a Z shaped bar that you can spin the bottle jack with where the 2012 kit has an extra bar that gives you essentially a T handle to spin with. (Hopefully that makes sense)
