Hello guys. I could use some help! My buddy’s truck (2002 4.6L Tundra) is throwing the below code and engine has a rough idle. Can someone please tell us what it means? Thank you.39890659-1BE5-422E-8ECF-EE3E63A036FA.jpg

Paging @Tundra2 and you may want to pore over his thread where he's still battling through it. Long read, but ....

    And see this.

Does that say its $10 to fix it?
That would be sweet if scan tools told you what's wrong and what it will cost you.

    I mean, even if it's just a faulty coolant temp sensor, or the T-stat wasn't opening/closing, I can't see that being a $10 fix, even DIY. :D

Good luck to you, and your buddy. Hopefully it's just a faulty temp sensor.

Replace all the Oxygen sensors with denso.

These trucks can be okay with BOSCH, but Denso is the OEM without the oem price tag.

Don't buy from Amazon, and ebay. Use RockAuto

See here for earlier V8 models taken from Tundra2's thread I linked.

He also included this reply in his thread which runs through possible causes for P0125 - again, highly recommend checking out his thread, though I get it, it's a long ass read.

Last but not least, if you don't click that last link, this tidbit may be interesting:

Noah's been fighting his P0125 code for quite a while on a new-to-him truck. It's looking at this point as if it may be due to O2 sensor activity, either exhaust leaks pre-O2. He's ruled out most of it, as you'd see in the 2nd link of this reply.

I’ll have to get back to you with those. My buddy was only telling me about this particular one. Told him I’d get on the forum and ask. I knew someone on here could point us in the right direction.

one can cause another or the whole lot can tell a story together. Or, maybe the other is just telling you that the
They may be inconsequential, or may add to the story. So, it will be important to know what they are.

Share this with your buddy, seriously. And warn everyone if you hear they're on it. We need to evangelize this knowledge. This counterfeit BS has been going on way too long now and it's burned a lot of members of all the truck forums I'm on.

The reality is, neither scAmazon nor fleaBay have any incentive to crack down on sales of counterfeit parts, and nobody in this capitalistic market is going to make them because everyone is taught to hate restrictions until lack of them bites us in the ass, and big business controls everything, including our representatives, either directly or by way of their stock portfolios and we'll never have the balls to change that in a united way.

Stick to names who strictly control their inventory, and who will stand by the authenticity of their product, either by buying in-person at your local auto parts store or dealership, or buying online from trusted entities like Rock Auto, Summit Racing, and similar. With the latter, not only are you supporting American-owned businesses with your best interest in mind, but you're also virtually guaranteed to get a similarly-low price to go with your authentic product.

I have. Honestly, I'm getting frustrated with it. WWND... anyways I had some fantastic help today from @RainMan_PNW. Gave me quite a few things to check out tomorrow.

@Munk, I doubt your buddies truck has been rode as hard as mine or as wet as mine when put up. I'll be getting to the bottom of the P0125 one way or another.

Long ass read on that thread, but that truck has come a long way in a short time!
