I remember seeing someone who had hidden stiffeners that went behind the tail light. I found it once on this forum but can not seem to find the thread again. I don't run them personally but was considering the hidden version.

Just got an ARB twin compressor from the nice UPS man yesterday :) Now waiting for the mounting the mounting bracket from SDHQ.

They are actually SDHQ stiffners. I thought about it too but I’m getting a high clearance bumper and it may interfere with the bumper

I did get the bed stiffeners, Rago MFG I believe. I like that I have them, when I first purchased the truck it had been riding for several years without and the overland topper. It did pull everything in a touch, but I also mount a tire, water, fuel, and propane on the top of the topper so I carry some weight up there at times, so I thought it was best to be ahead of the issue.

    Lots.
I installed the Rago Fab ones before installing my CVT RTT to help absorb some of the weight of the tent and occupants on the bed rails. Not sure if they are completely necessary or not but it can't hurt to have the added support when bouncing around on trails.

Is that the blackout version of the tent? Another member had one in Sedona and seemed to like it a lot. I’m kinda on the hunt for a black out, or a colder weather tent.
I think I picked some of these up last year when someone posted them. I use them every trip and they stack pretty well; but the side latches can be kinda junk……….or just don’t let your toddler eff around with them until they break

My diesel heater kicked some ass, I ran a return vent into the tent to help keep the heat output up. Again I need to get a better cold weather tent to help us stay warmer at night, but other than that it was a blast!

there are a couple ways to go depending how your going to use it.
A all in one unit where you basically just hook up to 12v and use it wherever you want(exhaust venting outside living space) this being the most portable option.
Second is a kit; if you were to mount it in a van or schooly build, or if you wanted to make a better enclosure for the heater(quite a few builds inside pelican cases and what not)
    The main issues/user errors are:
Supplied power wire to small for long runs to power source(12v)- easy upgrade
Green fuel line-some get shipped with almost 1/4 id green flexible fuel line, while this is ok to use up to the dosing pump(piston w check valve ran on a coil/plunger type operation) after the fuel pump it needs to be a much smaller more digit line-the fuel will naturally cavitate, and you don’t want air bubbles building up, the smaller diameter forces the bubbles thru with no issue and the rigidity helps eliminate the expanding pulses created by the pump.
Lastly the pump is self lubricated, so it’s best to manually prime the fuel line with a syringe or something so your not dry running the pump.

I honestly don’t know. We got it at Academy awhile back. It’s selling point is that it’s supposedly a 5-minute setup. While it takes me longer than 5 minutes to set up (maybe about 10 minutes or so), it’s definitely easier to set up than the previous 8-person tent we had before. All in all, we really like it.

As an aside, when we got the Tundra in the summer of 2015, Toyota was running a special on Tundras that included camping and fishing gear with the purchase of a Tundra. It came with a nice 4-person tent that we’ve used a few times. I thought that was kind of neat.

Is that a rock on top of the hot coals? If so, beware, sometimes moisture content will cause them to explode like a hand grenade.

Looking to add an Inverter to my setup. I think I will put it behind the rear seat and then run lines to the bed for power access and make a mount in the cap somewhere for cab power access. Does anyone have any recommendations on inverters with a remote switch? Looking for about 1000W.

Makes everyones life a little easier with power in the bed for camping setup
