I agree, and as ive said before the zr2 will be 66k and its front and rear lockers, dssv shocks and will have the new interior. And if things ever get back to normal , you could probably get one a few thousand off that 66k at one of the big volume dealers. The only think that the pro would have going for it over the zr2 is reliability, but most folks that buy these type trucks will probably trade in every 3 or 4 years anyway. I wouldnt make sense for it to the same msrp as th zr2.
The pricing is already out also on the 2022 refreshed at4, and it starts at 60k, which means you could probably get one in the low 50s when inventory gets back. in 2019 my sierra msrp was 57k and i got it for 42 brand new, at the end of the year.

I doubt we ever go back to the prior model of 10% off MSRP, manufacturers and dealers now know they don't have to fill lots and still turn a profit, Ford even came out saying they were changing their prior model of overfilling lots and then incentivizing sales. MSRP will definitely be the name of the game for awhile, and AT4 is like an OR, PRO falls more in line with Raptor and TRX but not as much performance when you compare line ups. A 2022 1794 / platinum without the hybrid already is at $65k, it'll be priced at or above.

I had been considering going for a 22 TRD Pro, but every dealer I spoke to basically said it would be like $10k+ over MSRP; and even then they had no idea whey they'd start seeing them.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
You take your logic and reason and get the hell out of here sir!

The only thing i see that the pro has over the standard at4 would be the fox shocks vs the standard rancho monotube. So one could get the at4 at 10 to 15k below the pro (if the rumors are true on the price), get some nice shocks and still come in quite a bit cheaper.

Also, if the pro hits 75k, then your in at4x territory.

I just checked Everett gmc, which is a big volume dealer, and they selling at4s below msrp right now. I dont think theyve been over msrp this whole time during the shortage. Before all the crazyness, you could always get 10k to 15k off, at that place.

A bare bones 2021 AT4 is $58k (no sliding window, etc.) to even come close to matching the PRO's features your looking at $61k which is starting point for the 2022 AT4 redesign according to GM website, I dont think the new PRO will be $75k but likely closer to $66-68k range just at / slightly above a 1794/platinum, thats not a $10k difference from an AT4 and good luck getting an AT4 for any significant amount below MSRP in the current market. And I would put the PRO closer toe the AT4X trim which is $74k. Regardless, anyone here thinking the PRO is gonna be less than $65k is kidding themselves.

Im talking about the new 2022 at4 which isnt available yet. The pricing was released at 60k msrp, but i think it will come with more standard features than the 2021. I know it will have the new dash. Even if the pro is 65k, the way it sounds, most dealers will mark them up to whatever they can get. Im fairly certain you will be able to get at4s at or below msrp, from the bigger dealers.

When i said 10k over, i meant after the dealer mark ups, which i dont think the at4s will have that problem. If you could get the pro at msrp, then i agree, it shouldnt be much more than the at4

Gotcha, ya I feel for those hoping to get one at MSRP but you can't find 3rd Gen Raptors, Broncos, or similar "lifestyle" type vehicles without some sort of markup right now. I'm wiling to be though MSRP pricing will be somewhere between $65-70k.

My build of limited trd or, crewmax longbed with pretty much all the options comes in at just over 61k, with the regular engine.

But it started at 52ish before options. Perhaps the pro may fall in the mid 60s starting but after it’s set up how anyone would actually find it at a dealer it will likely be pushing 70.

Also my dealer said they expect 2 or 3 pros total this year.

You sound so confident with that price.... though I think my guess is also about mid-60's. From all the original press comments about production timing I think we should know the MSRP soon. Or I hope so at least!

I don’t think the pro will have any packages available or options because it pretty much already comes with everything.

Well Chevy need to play catch up now.
The Detroit-based company lost its crown to Japanese rival Toyota Motor Corp., which boosted sales 10% last year despite a 28% decline in the fourth quarter. With 2.3 million units sold in the U.S. in 2021, Toyota narrowly outpaced GM's 2.2 million. Since 1931.

I'd be buying a raptor or trx and extended warranty if I was spending the price of a cheap house on a truck

TFL posted a Raptor with a 40k mark up from some clown dealer. Prices are stupid

Only takes one person to say yes. CA dealer marked up a Rav4 Prime to 98k. Got blasted online for it, but yeah dealers are fishing for the foolish.

You obviously haven't priced out a Raptor lately. Base price with destination and the new price increase starting in January is about 68K. Also they haven't made the 802a Pkg for 2 years now.

I have not, we have an 18 502a now, but cool? And base price now is little over $65k (2021)...Regardless the point is the new PRO is not gonna be less than $65k starting. And there was an 802A package in 2020...

My understanding is dealers with this crazy markup is to have a truck that sits on the lot for people to see and test and if someone with to much money comes by and buys it great. As long as every truck isn’t crazy over priced like that on the lot I get it.

There’s so much backlog, combined with pent up demand for all trucks right now. It’s never going back to Pre Covid business model.

    Ever.

We as consumers need to understand that and come to terms with itx

TRD Pro will be around $67k + markup $75k easy.
Dealers will sell all of them.

Your probably right that they will sell all of them because I don’t think they’ll make as many as they will the other trims. I’m sure the die hard toyota folks will go with the pro, but the average guy will probably choose the zr2, which will probably be cheaper and has more off road features. Front locking diffs, dssv shocks, better approach angles, tow hooks, and the 6.2 for those that still want a v8 (if they will ever fix the lifter issue), along with the new interior.
