I need to replace my rack and pinion. I've called the dealer and they are backed up for months.

What would be my best option for an aftermarket?

NAPA rebuilt rack IMO. Others have used it before on their Tundras.

Not sure where your from but I have had excellent results from Serra Toyota from Alabama. Very good communication and fast shipping. A new rack is on my to do list also. Don’t forget new outer tie rods.

That sucks. Could be possible that the rack is on backorder, but that wouldn't excuse their lack of communication. McGeorge is my go-to for OEM and they're good about communication.

That's because nobody is at the parts counter for most of the day.

Don't ask me how I know...

They should be able to at least give you an ETA on the back order. That's what they did when I had to wait a month or two for a CV axle. Unfortunately some new parts will be harder to come by as our trucks age...

They can't at least Botch Toyota had no response at all. I hate the fact that they take the money right away and they can't give me a ETA.
