This weekend, I finished running wiring for my heated seats (front and rear) 10A fuse for each seat heater. I am trying to figure which fuses (I need 4 total)I can tap into for heated seats that are hot on ignition. Can I combine 4 taps into one add a fuse? There are already 10A fuses in line for each seat heater.

I do not want to wire directly to the battery as I don't want to worry about seat heaters left in the on position. Here are the fuses I have available inside the cab. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just tied mine together and used the seat warmer fuse with a add a tap. It was only the fronts but I’m sure you can find another IGN source for the rears. I pulled mine when I was running my remote start and plugged back into a blank that was ign by mistake so you have some options. Not sure what the draw would be with all four tied in.

I am having the same problem you are having. The 2018 interior fuse block is different that previous Years. I don't see any fuses labeled heated seats. Additionally, the heated kits I bought are three wire...12v constant, 12v ignition and ground. I ran out of time but mine stayed on when ignition was off. Anyone out there have the explanation for wash fuse on a 2018 and whether its switched or always hot?

I found a fuse that is ignition hot but unfortunately, I have 4 heated seats so I would still be a single tap short. How many heated seats do you have?

I wound up running my rear set off a line a ran from the battery. I want to run an amp and sub later, so I was going to have to do that anyway. I watch those switches like a hawk!

ibcdan, I’ll PM you my solution for the front seats.

For everyone with pre-2018, please be aware they reconfigured the fuse block significantly. The 30 amp is gone, and no seat heater fuse.

Did you just leave the fuse cover off? Since you used a fuse tap or did you find a work around? Do you have a photo by chance?

    Thanks

I bought this fuse tap is this what you used?

My concern is if I tap into the 20amp heated seat fuse. This fuse tap says not to exceed 10amp. Should I not worry about that?

Also any idea what fuse to put into the second slot?

Looks like what I used. I just went back with 2 20s. Same on my last Tundra and no problems.

Just verifying - you're running both seat heaters off the single fuse tap? I'm planning on doing the same...seems at least somewhat logical if you tap into the factory fuse for two heated seats you'd be able to run both without issue...and the 20a fuse protects both seats, while the in-line 10a fuses still provide some downline protection for each individual heater.

Are your switches illuminated? If so, where did you tap for illumination? Guessing it can be from a number of spots (I've read the green wire from any other switch that lights up?).

Do you have a turn-on wire for the heaters? I do on mine, and it seems like if the power source we're using is already switched vs. running to the battery itself then that can be tapped in with the power lines (I'm not sure how much voltage the turn-on could potentially draw though, and don't want to overload the circuit and blow fuses).
