Haha! My wife talked me into the Tundra from my Tacoma and I told her I was going to spend $20k on mods to get it to where I was comfortable taking it truly “off road”. The wife hasn’t left me, but finally understands that this is an expensive hobby. Luckily she likes to get out and all the parts gets used.

edit: haven’t hit the $20k mark yet, but gears and a locker will be close. Sh$t’s expensive!

edit #2: forgot about the TC LCAs. Will definitely be over. It’s a good thing I apparently hate money

My wife hasnt given me any grief yet. I just tell her im making my truck more comfortable i spent a modest 4k on wheels and tires telling her going from oem 20s to 18s would make it more cadillacy of a ride. Truth is shes never been inna caddilac so she bought the story anyway

Ugh yes....i got the, ahem, "mid height". I know its not as cool as the full height. Look, i wanted the full height, extra wide hybrid set up with those badass wide fenders but i had to draw the financial responsibility line somewhere. I already purchased a color matched center grill, non trd pro. I have tss and didnt want to deal with the full height bull bar messing with tss.

I got some 18 Tundra TRD wheels from Craigslist for 400 bucks and it was well worth it! I really disliked the 20 inch platinum wheels.

Not at all hating, just helping out with recommendations on lighting. Obviously, do your own research too since it'll be a pretty penny.

    I am currently running 2x BD LP9
    30" DD light bar Amber
    BD fogs

If I had your bumper I would do this combo, or something similar:
    2x DD SSC2 Pods
    2x SS3 Pods
    2x SS5 Pods
2x BD LP6 (if it fits on the mid height)
    1x DD 30" light bar

C4 builds their bumpers for BD lights so you can go that route. I think they look great but I would try to cut costs down where you can. There aren't any brackets that fit these bumpers (that I am aware of) so you will need to be creative or have someone fabricate some for you.

This is what mine looks like but I have the Overland bumper.

Im all about going the easy route. I skimmed this whole thread and while i would love to go dd it seems it would be a chore to get them to fit. Im prepared to get all bd fogs but want a more affordable but easy light barm. My understanding is the dd light bar isnt easy. Amiright?

I have the DD light bar but bought it on this forum. I believe he just reversed the mount. I didn't have any issues installing it. I totally understand going the easy route which is why I stuck with BD as well. They're great and no complaints except for the price. But buy once cry once or continue crying if you buy a lot of shit for this truck.

If you go BD, I would do this:
    2x S2
2x Squadron SAE (hook these up to your original fogs, BD has an adapter for it)
    2x LP4
    2x LP6
    1x BD 30" light bar

I would prob do more amber if I could do it again.

I run a Warn 12S winch and have pulled anyone from a Jeep to a Hummer. Love it and worth the money but it depends on how much you off-road and how crazy you get.

Posted this in T.I.T.S thread, but here are the BD squadron sport lights with OEM halogen headlights. I can’t speak for other lights in the Tundra but compared to more budget friendly lights I had I my previous Tacoma the BD lights are worth it. The difference in headlights and headlights + BD is crazy. F348FB51-E731-4D26-919D-7DB9DEC087C5.jpg

I did the extreme led light bar and I really like it!! It came with a wireless remote control do I didn't have to bring anything through the firewall either.

Don’t have it mounted it’s literally just sitting in my center console

I have the rago dash plate that I’m gonna put in and have a ram mount for the switch panel I’ve just been putting off the total dash deconstruction I have to do for that rago plate

Thank you! My eyes are super light sensitive and I am getting a pet peeve..... I try to not go off

FWIW BD's fogs don't meet SAE spec either.

I do the same. I will run them on empty roads and basically treat them like high beams. However, compared to some of the headlights on newer vehicles I don’t feel like they are much worse.

    Someone say Switch panel?

Lol @Burdturger here's my .02. I personally like and run the SP9100 for the broad swath of functionality that it offers (which admittedly a lot of the functions don't get used often). My personal runner-up is the Trigger 6 that @Squatting Pigeon runs. Big + for it is the fact that you don't have to punch ANY holes in the firewall to run it. We've got access

I have not seen the Auxbeam panels first-hand, but they look like a decent unit especially for the money. I carry SwitchPros and have access to Trigger systems. Your best bet on the Auxbeam unit if that's the route you go is certainly going to be Amazon if I had to guess.
