Strangest 3 way (or circle jerk, can't tell) I've ever heard of. I would say this thread was good while it lasted but it kinda wasn't.

Catch you guys in the next one, sans the Richard Craniums hopefully!

That thing is awful, I spend more time trying to feed the tether through that damn loop than installing the seat.

Seemed to me any TRDOR package would have the 400W inverter, but not so. That's a head scratcher to me. 400W is not special but at least you have something to keep batteries charged for your jumpack, air compressor, headlamps, etc.

He's right about one thing. This is the same company with the Camry "grounded to the ground" commercial. Toyota knows how to speak to the larger volume of their buyers. That commercial is very much in keeping with their others. We, forum members, are a demographic for them but not the major one.

With such low sales numbers for the 2.5 you'd think this group would represent a larger market share?

That said, I agree with you.

These guys are a little harsh with the jokes and review, so those triggered easily, beware. The good is that it's an up close look at the build for those who are interested.

What I laid out, multiple posts with bumper caps separating, people missing weatherstripping pieces, someone already had paint issues, 3 check engine light posts now and as we all know Toyota admittingly saying they are using parts they wouldnt normally use (even if never seen by customer still). Not to mention some regions almost every dealer is charging ADM, MSRP is a deal now, and @$60k for a decently equipped Limited or SR5 idk, I mean thats the norm now, even for an XLT F150 but hard pill to swallow. Considering snagging one of the last 2021's dealer here has two limiteds left.

“What good is reliability if it doesn’t look cool? If you don’t want a poster of it on your wall why would any one dream of buying one? Everyone dreams of buying by a raptor, no one dreams of buying a Toyota” lol Toyota’s are the only trucks I have ever dreamt of owning.

Yeah I laughed at that as well. That's why I put the disclaimer below the vid. Not a warm and fuzzy review, but lots of good shots of the truck.

I’ve never dreamed of buying a Raptor.

That guy’s dreams are pretty lame if that’s what fills them.

Most reasonable people knew there would be problems with a full redesign. I think everyone else got so used to it being reliable since it basically had the same design for 14 years. When you change everything and up the technology you’re gonna have issues. That’s why everyone harps on the big three. Because they always changed everything every couple years.

Better not say that for there is a group of internet bullies here that will slap you with their purse. I haven't seen one in my area other than mine. Can't tell you how many folks compliment me and want a look. Love my truck!

Nah. I have an F150 yes. I looked for a tremor shortly but they all want msrp or over.

I inquired to the dealer about my 21 pro they bought at auction if they would come down but started talking and now going to be waiting a few months for a platinum.

Even with the low sales numbers this forum represents less than 10% of 2.5 Tundra sales and we have 1st , 2nd and 2.5 gen .

It's a great truck so far. I've done 12 hour road trips 3 times already and no issues. Initial quality is better than my 21 pro was. No body/ paint issues or interior quality issues. About my only real complaint is my wireless car play bugs every so often. More I see the 22 platinums in red or gray the more I kind of want one. it's 90 days +/- so I may change my mind by then. I guess Toyota supply helps control impulse purchasing to an extent.

Just joined the forum. I have both Lightning and Rivian reservations, but will likely be waiting over a year for both. It’s a long wait so I’m starting to look at Hybrid Tundras as an option. Looking forward to seeing official mileage rating.

Have you tried to switch your dealer? I have similar opinions about my dealer - unfortunately I can’t find a better one nearby that isn’t charging ADM. I’m more and more convinced that the Tesla/Rivian sales model is better than the dealers.
