I picked up my TRDpro Crewmax a little over a week ago and now I've narrowed my search down to two different sliders.
    • Apex All Pro sliders w/ DOM upgrade
    • White knuckle off road with or without diamond plate
So I live in SoCal and white knuckle is about 100 miles from me so I can pick them up and not have to worry about shipping. Apex has a deal going till the 1st for free shipping so that cancels shipping cost.

When it comes to looks I like how both have kick outs for the rear wheel and both sliders could function as a step. When it comes to the design of the step apex has a slotted cover and wkor have the diamond plated design, apex wins easily. Not sure how I feel about the upward angle of the apex while I know wkor sits flat. Both sliders are unpainted

When I look at the materials used they're both similar. At first wkor had the advantage using dom but apex offers the upgrade for an additional $50.

    Price wise
    • WKOR with diamond plate $900
    • All pro APEX $850 w/ DOM
So I wanted to see if anyone had additional input, not interested in other brands or sliders! If you have either of these sliders and could give me feedback on quality and how the install was I will greatly appreciate it thank you!

Vote for White knuckle off road or Apex All Pro + your opinion!

I have All Pro sliders and love them. There are two holes on each side that you will need to drill if you want to use them for their full intended use. I got them without the fill plates and saved me another 120 bucks or so. I have more pics on my build page.

Are you actually going to use them? Because that will affect your decision. I didn't consider all pro because they don't offer an option for double cab

I went with white knuckle. These sliders are made to be used. They have more frame mounts than others I looked at and the rear frame mount is placed as far back as you can go before the frame curves too much. I went with the .188 outer rail. On a truck as heavy as ours, if you will actually be dropping the sliders on rocks you need the .188. I've hit boulders at 60 mph on the kickout without denting them. Saved my rear tires a couple times.

I know this isn't what you asked, but have you looked at demello? I have a set of their sliders on my quicksand pro and really like then. They have full width tie-in plates, so they bolt from the side and bottom. I'm able to lift my truck from the sliders with minimal deflection.

Looks clean without the fill plates, and your trd pro looks badass. What size wheels and tires are you running?

Dope Tundra!! Yeah I actually plan on making this a rock crawler eventually, white knuckle seems to have a great reputation for quality, and I didn't know that about the mounts that's good to know, I want the best coverage throughout. Did u have to drill any holes to mount everything

The demello's look like a good bang for your buck but I'm not feeling the shape how they're square and don't have the kick out at the rear wheel.

Don't bother with the demellos. The frame plate is overkill and adds weight for no good reason. Plus there are less frame mounts. and like you said, no kickout. Especially with our long wheelbase, the kickout is valuable on tight trail.

Yes, you have to drill holes in the bottom of the frame if you want to be able to use them for supporting the weight of the truck. But all sliders are like this.

Definitely the all pro apex sliders. I've yet to pull the trigger myself. Was going to post a poll on the all pro, p and p engineering and the white knuckle sliders. Still hesitant don't know why. Lol

Lol man I was in the same position, I like those pp sliders too but with shipping cost and everything they're over 1k. White knuckle is local in California and apex got that no shipping sale right now so pp was eliminated due to cost. The guys at pp are the most active in my mind for our tundra though they're always testing new shit out. I might end up buying their underbody skid plates eventually

    WKOR > AP

I had the APs and sold them to go to WKOR because I wanted more beef, safety, and strength. AP is thinner, made out of HREW (they offer a DOM upgrade but only for the outer rail), and has a mounting system that is incompatible with 99% of the skid plate kits out there.

Damn thank you for saving me time and money. I just talked to them and they want $150 for the dom upgrade now and if it's only the outer rail that's crazy! That's $950 total and they don't even ship to my home address I'll have to pick
It up somewhere that receives freight shipments. Never even thought of the skid plates yet so these are officially off the list.

I talked to white knuckle asking if they would be willing to make a different top plate because the one they offer is really boring and looks cheap. I know their tubing is stout and solid but I'm not sold yet.

Another option that I'm starting to reconsider is the p&p engineering type 4 sliders. They have dom tubing, offer a better looking top plate and give a military discount! They also have a full line of skid plates for the entire truck, looks like they are all in on the tundra. The only reason I wasn't considering them was the shipping cost but with apex asking too much for their sliders and wkor not offering a better top plate. I could get the ppe sliders for $1000 shipped to my front door with front and rear top plate, powder coating and a full line of plate coverage, I'm getting very tempted to just go ahead and get these.

Wkor wants $1044 with military discount for .120 dom tubing (same as ppe) powder coat (same as ppe) and gas driving up there to pick it up would be an additional $50 round trip so I'd say $1100 total.

So as crazy as it sounds PPE would still be cheaper for me.

Well if you're going to actually use the sliders on rock then these suck. There is no frame connection to the bottom of the rail. So the bolts that connect to the side will be subject to high tension force when the weight of the truck is on the slider. bolting the sliders to the bottom of the frame provides a much stronger conenction.

Plus these only have 4 frame connections, white knuckle has 5.

Its a poor design and I wouldn't buy them

Another option is these sliders from SDHQ. The rear deflected about 1" before lifting the truck, the front didn't deflect at all. Once the load was back off the jack the slider returned to shape.
