I'm looking to upgrade the tires on my TRD pro. I know I'm going to have to run a spacer if I go with 305's, either 1" to 1.5" still tryna decide on that.

I know I've seen people say it fits/doesn't fit on here so I decided to start a new thread for the TRD pro because some people don't state if they're lifted or on stock suspension most of the time or I can't find a good thread on it. I don't plan on touching suspension just yet or adding any type of lift to the truck just want to fill the wheel well as much as possible with no rubbing.

So is anyone currently running these tires on a trd pro with stock suspension and the stock trd pro wheels or is the max really going to be 295/70r18. I've also read that 70 series tires will effect the gear ratio and MPG on our truck so that 65 series is the way to go, 305/65r18 to be exact.

What brand and what type of tire do people go with? When I searched it looks like 295/70r18 and 305/65r18 has better options then 305/70r18.. tell me what u guys think, I want to make this truck my weekend warrior and I want the biggest tires I can squeeze into without any crazy cutting. I'm willing to bend some fender liner and I don't have any mud flaps already and I know those have also been a problem with running big tires.

If you're looking to "fill the wheel well" why use a shorter tire in the 305/65/18?

295/70/18 will fit without spacer. If you add spacer it will rub.

My guess is that a 305/65/18...which I ran on my last two Tundras 350k miles...will most certainly rub with spacers.

    Neither will require new gearing.

I personally like 275/70/18 on a Pro. No rubbing issues without any modification, and one inch taller than stock. I have 3.5 inch OME lift on my truck with 295/70/18 and I feel that the tires are too stuffed. I have to chip away the ice between the tire and wheel well (rear of the wheel well) quite frequently during winter.
