I'm trying to decide on a tonneau cover for my 2015 crew max tundra. Mainly looking for something pretty sturdy and waterproof Just curious if anyone has any recommendations out there and pictures.

I have BAKFlip F1 and love it. But it's not water-proof. I could make it tighter, but I haven't needed it to be water-proof for my application.

I would think fiber glass tonneau cover that sits on top of the side will come close to water proof.

I had the A.R.E LSII on my old gen 2 and loved it. Perfect paint match, waterproof, kept almost all the dust out and when matched with the bedrug, was perfect for camping, boating, extended trips, etc. I had the keyless entry which works off of the Toyota remote. It was awesome as I never had to worry about it being locked, since it locked with the remote and did not have to lock the tailgate either. I also installed a light that was tapped into the bed light, so operates when doors open or via Toyota's switch. Fit, finish and function were awesome.

The above said, I ordered an identical setup for my gen3 and not sure if my expectation is too high, but it does not appear to be installed over the rails like my gen2 and noticed some flaws. You can see them in my post below. It still is a nice tonneau, and I purchased the bedrug, keyless entry and once again added a light. My main disappointment is that it does not secure the tailgate, so during those moments I am at the lake, camping, roadtrip, etc. I have to remember to lock the tailgate. Likely small, but not what I am used to... Before these issues, I would have recommended it without hesitation, but with this unit, it does appear quality is slipping from the last one I owned. I do like the locking mechanism better, and do feel the piano hinge is stronger and better for rain runoff when opening it than the other models, but you can see flaws in the paint.

They wont call it water proof cuz the bottom of the bed has holes where water can get in. However it will keep it dry enough depends on your application. I have the solid fold its been great so far. Only real pain is the winter when the cover freezes to the tailgate and bed than you cant open it.

Yes, just like dust, the tailgate allows it in, so I also purchased a dust baffle and have very little dust only barely noticeable on those 40 mile dirt roads... I have never noticed water in the bed from above, let alone the bed, though I have a bedrug so imagine there could be spots below I never noticed. It certainly did not come in from the tonneau and when the top is wet and or raining, it rolls over the hinge area where some of the covers lift up and away, so it can get in the bed. I know some will question rain in AZ, but monsoons last a few months, and we do get bad storms at any time. So, this thing is perfect for camping or boating in that it keeps all the elements out. The only issue in the winter would come from the lack of climate control; meaning don't put your ski boots back there unless you want to be cold for a long time...

It does have a lifetime warranty as well.

I have a are on mine. Doesnt leak or anything. I have a bedrug so I have not noticed any dust or anything getting back into the bed section always clean and dry. Are products are very solid to the leer. My leer(tacoma) leaked took awhile to get it sealed all the way.

I searched for several weeks prior to purchasing my truck. I wanted a retractable/folding cover that not only looked good, but was tough. Almost pulled the trigger on a power retractable, but just couldn't justify it and all of them I looked at rattled. Looked at the BakFlip VP, but then watched the video of a guy breaking into it with a coat hanger. Nope, needed more security for the golf clubs. Then I found and ultimately purchased the Fold-a-Cover G4. So easy to install.....even a caveman.....! Lots of videos about the product. Good sale price on them right now.

I have a Truxedo 'roll-up/velcro' on my 2014. I never thought I would own a cover, but absolutely LOVE it!!! It keeps things dry, my bed doesn't fill up with snow, and I can just roll it up to haul my bike/ 4-wheeler/etc.

I put an UNDERCOVER FLEX on mine and so far I love it. It keeps things out of sight. It's a three-plank cover. It's very low profile. If you're not in an SUV or another truck, you don't know it's there. I do have to say this: you lose your cargo management rails if you have them. The fasteners attach directly on them.

I got the Bakflip F1 last week and it is awesome!! The cover comes with a spacer to lower cargo rails, so you do not lose them. Super low profile and very sharp looking. I can post pics if you would like.

I've only had my Extang Revolution for a couple of days now and it seems to be fairly water resistant. It just rained real hard a few minutes ago and was dry inside. I think it has a life time warranty but don't know if it transferable. Definitely better than my Velcro roll up I had on my Tacoma. Forgot the brand. The Extang is tight, flat as a pancake for a roll up.

I have the Extang Solid Fold like CincyCrewMax and I really like it. It is very solid and keeps the bed very dry. I don't have any pictures of my own, but thanks to CincyCrewMax, you can see what it looks like. I liked that I could still use my bed rail and clips. The top comes with special clips to attach the top to the rail with. Simple pull to release on each side of the back to flip it up. Tri fold gives you almost full access to the bed, and with two more quick disconnects you can take the whole top off. I can handle it by myself (almost retirement age), but it is easier with two people as with sturdiness you also have a couple extra pounds. I am a little leary of the wear and tear on the rubber seal at the tail gate, as it flips back and forth when you use the tail gate, but if it does wear (no signs of it yet after a couple months), it is simple to replace.

From the 2 pics you can really see how low profile the cover is.

I like the extang solid fold 2.0 and undercover flex, for you guys with these tonneau covers how weatherproof are they notice any leaks at all with either one.

I haven't noticed any. The flex comes with drains. So if it gets water in the rails it drains out the the front of it.

I have had no issues whatsoever with the Extang 2.0. We have had a few really good rains and a trip or two through the car wash and no leaks at all. Best tonneau that I have owned.

I am quite satisfied with my Extang Solid fold, but if I could have afforded it, I really like that ReTrax Pro like 2015TRSPROSD posted. The only water I have found with the Extang is at the tailgate, but I think it is just where water flips in when I open the wet tailgate. Otherwise the entire bed stays very dry in the hardest of rains.

I don't mind that a lot. I like my cover. It keeps things out of sight
