If you don’t mind me asking, did you happen notice if they had a 2022 there, and if so, how was it?

Good review but feeling like an SUV and not a truck had me scratching my head. Also thought the JBL would have sounded better to you cause all systems sound better when high.

Any real owners think they’re in an SUV?

Why do you have to be the 2022 Tundra Justice Warrior? Dude gave an objective review and you slander him?

Edit: maybe not slander if you were talking about volume when saying "high"? He said he didn't play with the setting in its defense, so your critique of his comment is confusing to me.

I could see this because of the platform it's on. Sweers even said in one of the TFL interviews that they had obstacles to overcome to use the platform as a truck and some compromises had to be made. So I would say his review is in line and not far fetched.

Got a chance to test drive one today. SR5 crewmax TRD off-road premium. Short bed

Feels like it drives “small” like a big taco. Which is a good thing to me. Was pretty impressed overall.

Dealer was insane at 10k over MSRP for SR5 15k over for limited and platinum 20k over for 1794.
They laughed at me when I asked about the pro.

I have a limited build from another dealer at Msrp no mark up. This was available to drive and I was impressed with it

now I just need to take delivery whenever mine shows up!!!

I wonder why the pro , the trim that a lot of people want is probably gonna be the least produced one. I know by doing this they can raise the prices, but seems they would sell a lot more of them if they made more and had them readily available. Ford does the same thing w. ith the raptor. Looks to me they would make more profits selling 50000 of them at 60- 65k then they would selling 15000 at 70k. (Don’t know what the numbers are , they im just trying to make a point) I mean I bet they would sell every bit as good if not more than the platinums and 1794s. the way it looking , if you want the pro you’ll be on a long waiting list and will probably pay 10k over. Ridiculous.

It’s nuts. My friend has a deposit on a pro at sticker price at same dealership that I have deposit on limited at sticker.
He put deposit down back in August or September. I put mine down Oct 1. Sketchy buying something that you don’t know the price of!!! But no mark up helps.

my buddy wants the longer bed so he will most likely flip the pro after he takes delivery

Sat in a 2022 bare bones SR5 w/OR package today in SW, not in love with it like I thought I would be, but dont hate it (besides the tailgate / rear). Was thinking about trading the Taco in but I'll hang onto it a bit longer and search for a decent used 5.7L when the time comes. Not to be that guy but seeing the quality issues on the FB group is troublesome for sure, check engine lights, loose bumper caps, wind noise, missing pieces of molding, etc.

Gm is about the only one that makes plenty of what people want. The at4 and trail boss, which is what the pro is competing with. I know when I bought my Sierra back in 2019, I think their were more at4s on he lot than any other trim. It’s one of gms their best sellers. I wish Toyota would do the same with the pro. It would bring the price down a bit, and I’m sure they would sell them as fast as hey can make them.

Wind noise on the one I test drive from driver side door. Kinda like window not sealed all the way. Would drive me nuts if it was my build.

They make alot more than they used to, in 2015 when it was introduced it was very limited in production numbers, each dealer recieved like 2 Pro models each, but ya I getcha, even Ford is pumping out Raptors.

Why ditch the M2 completely? I've been playing with the idea of getting one as a weekend car for a while now.

I love the M2, but need something to pull a horse trailer with and couldn’t really justify having two cars that expensive. Plus, living in Wisconsin and now working 100% remotely, I don’t get to enjoy the car nearly as much as I would like.

Thank you for this! It’s nice to finally see someone who didn’t slam the front seat all the way back and proclaim “LoOk aT HoW LiTtlE sPaCe tHerE iS.”

In all seriousness, in your expert opinion would you say there’s decent space back there for a car seat? We have baby number 1 coming in June and I’m picking my DC up in February.

I have a 2007 Double Cab, and the Gen 2/2.5 Double Cab has more rear seat room than the Gen 3 Double Cab. I can tell you unequivocally that there is not enough room in either of them for a rear facing car seat if you or your passenger up front want to have any room at all.

I bought my truck 10 years before I had my son, and had I known crib midgets were in my future I would have bought a Crew Max. Cancel your order and get a bigger cab.

To test this go buy a rear facing car seat for infants, you need one anyway there dad… and head over to your friendly Toyota dealership.

Plunk that big bastard into some back seats and witness the absurd amount of room a rear facing car seat takes up. It will be quite educational for you, and earn you brownie points with a wife who will be in “nesting mode” in a few months. The more stuff you can iron out now as “good to go” for baby will be less stuff she’s going to get worked up about.

I ended up getting rid of my 2010 Rock Warrior because it was a DC due to car seats (especially rear facing) and lack of interior room with kids.

I know lots of people make it work, but it wasn’t worth the hassle for me with two young kids.

3rd Gen is even more cramped, so good luck. I’d suggest borrowing a few car seats to check.

Pro tip: big, wide, and flat running boards will make getting car seats and kids in/out MUCH easier with a DC.

One of the reasons many moons ago I had to get rid of my Subaru Impreza Outback and got a T4R. With the Subaru I had to push the passenger front seat very far up with a rear facing car seat behind it. Quite often my wife would just sit in the back.

Those car seats take up an absurd amount of space. I would do as @Coal Dragger said and put a car seat in a DC. It's probably going to be tight based on a previous 5'10" members pic of him sitting in the back seat with the front seat in his normal driving position.

Get a CM. Just my .02
