The more I read on this, the happier I am that I bought a whole donor truck.

The manual part of it is the xfr case. Everything else is qutomatic and I can't find the answers I need nor a donor truck that isn't 2WD.

My main goal for tomorrow is to rob as much shit as possible off that truck that I can use or that I would need.

If my stuff I'm after has already been taken then I will be getting parts for everybody else. So if there's anything you need or would want. Let me know either here or in a PM.

@Jack McCarthy these are the only two V6 4×4 trucks on Copart that haven't been posted here. Both located at he same lot in Massachusetts. The frame on the blue truck is in FUCKIN HALF!! Lol

    Screenshot_20211230-205324_Chrome.jpg

    Burgundy truck link.

    Blue truck link.

Maybe I oughta call them, and see if they'd be willing to part out that blue truck...

They're still looking for $2300 as a parts only truck so unless nobody bids on it my guess is no.

The trans should function yes. The 4x4 add is all you’d need to get wired up

The a340 is the a340. If it’s from the same year truck it should be electronically the same.

Copart does not part out. They’re purely auction only

That means there's a chance in hell after all. The donor is a 2001 though. What kind of problems will I be facing?

    Probably nothing.

as for the add you can technically just lock the front axle permanently and the diff will just always be engaged. Hurt mileage a bit. But shouldn’t hurt more than that. Then just shift into 4hi when you need

I need some trim pieces. The wavy trim cap that hides the passenger door panel screw up high opposite the mirror (not sure if it must be side specific, but probably not). And the trim cap that hides the bolt to the front Captain's chair arm rest (not side specific)

Anyone know what the best way might be to clean up the antenna mount? Some sort of washer? Or am I missing a nut? Hah.

And did license plate bracket but I’m not overly happy with it. Too dark for pictures but what I’d really want is something which fits flush and that would block the 7 pin location. With a flip up that sticks out, the plate lights are extra dumb as they are about the same distance.

also the 7/4 3rd gen plug I bought doesn’t quite fit by just a smidge. Guess it’s supposed to use a different plug. Sigh.

I think there was a plastic chrome piece at the top of the antenna base at one time. I cracked mine.

Is that antenna mount rusted? I know they're pretty cheap, might be time?

I did a little search and it appears that reg, access cabs are easier to find the base assembly - the plastic nut and down for like 60 bucks. For me, I'll probably just need the plastic nut and the bezel/rubber gasket thing for the DC. 40 bucks dealer.

Anyone know the part on that? I foolishly thought it might come with the boot/garnish/whatever that thing is called.

I thought $15 was adequate for cosmetic bs. $40 is potentially pushing it but I might acquiesce at this point. I was thinking a properly sized rubber cone shaped washer could apply adequate compressive force to seat things ok.

Probably easier for me because I believe my base is fine. You likely need to pull the fender liners and some under dash stuff to deal with that base and the rust we see.

Too funny, I have one of these sitting in my Watch List on eBay and have had so for about 2 years now. Just never pulled the trigger on it ...
