Yep - we had three but I had the one in back chopped down. Only one of them really ever produced and these are all from it. Best tasting pecans I've ever had, kind of have a buttery flavor to them.

They are AMAZING. Bought them at Central Market (I raved about the place a few days and about a 1000 posts ago).

We got about 8" total I think the last 3 days. I've seen more here, but usually not snowing in the teens. Real dry powder. It's definitely wild out there. Currently 6°

Yeah, it’s been way too warm this winter….till now! My nut trees and fruit trees were budding, daffodils emerging and the artichokes never went dormant. The temperatures this past week and the 14” of snow will turn this around. I hope you can save your banana tree!

My truck doesn't fit in the garage so the garage door opener has never gone in it. I also like to keep the door between the garage and the house locked.

In my 2014 I had to rewire my Homelink mirror to not be BATT-powered.
Had to rewire to ACC since I park in the driveway.
There is a thread on it somewhere, but I'm in no condition to find it.
My truck sits in the driveway at night.
The wife's car is properly parked in the center of the 2 car garage...

I'm calling in sick tomorrow/Thursday to get an MRI.
Looking forward to a 4 day weekend and a (another) possible back surgery...

You don't EAT the apples to keep people away. You THROW the apples.

Definitely the North. The South always loses to the North.

That's because there is no difference between the North of Canada and the South of Canada. It's all just frozen. :p

The door between the garage and house is something I need to shore up security on. We lock it when we go to bed, but it only has a knob lock. We use it for primary entry, and neither of us carry any keys except the one for our vehicle, so it stays unlocked when we're both away from the house. I don't stow my truck in there either; but there's no entry door adjacent to the garage, so I just lift the garage door and go in through there. Since the garage door opener somewhat makes that a 'locked' door, that's the best we currently do. There's a keypad on the front door, and I should put one on the garage as well. There's no keyhole for the deadbolt on the patio door, since that's never a primary entry door, and the gate is locked anyway, so that garage entry door is our only real hole. If a bad guy wants in, though, he's getting in. If I'm home he's not getting back out, but that's another story.

Our arrangement for the garage is the same - her in the middle and me out on the pad - - but I have a giant pallet rack as a work bench, which takes up 1/4 of the garage.

I hope your back can get better without the surgery. I've had my share of back troubles, but the worst was a two week stint on Vicodin and muscle relaxers. I had an iodine injection up my spine for imaging, but no surgery. Plus my work is done from a sitting position, and doesn't need to involve any lifting like you. Just nothing good there. Best to ya, and get better soon.
