Current mods: AFE Cold air intake, AFE TB Spacer,JBA Long tube headers, DD full cat back race exhaust, pedal commander pedal controller, URD MAF Calibrator tuned by Mike @ Autowave, DD 12 hole 320CC injectors, R9K ECU reflash,Solid Off road mounts. Future upgrades: 4.8 gears and LSD, ,long travel kit.
That would be the next step if these things back off again or I could go with the spherical links set up and some new type of bolt and nut set up that won't back off, maybe try lock wire! Lol.

Hell yeah! Gonna fuck up royally, but it'll be fun as fuck if it all works!

Thanks my man! Fellers, I bid you good night. I will return to the junk yard early Friday morning if they are open. I forgot that I also have to work Thursday this week... whoops.

You’d want the engine harness and ecm if they’re the same year as your truck. If not custom wiring can keep the stock computer and just make an ADD relay to control the front diff when the t case is engaged

It's a 2001. The ECM is gone from the donor truck, and harness was cut before my arrival on scene. Gonna get the parts, and pieces though.

Are there any other modules I need from inside the cab on the donor?

Any clue on the odds that my trucks wiring has plugs to accept 4wd or would I need a complete gut, and replace? Might be moot without ecm or ecm connectors.

All thoughts welcome. Would it be a good idea to deliver the trans to a certified transmission shop, and have inspected or rebuilt?

A340s behind v6s rarely fail. I’d just run it. Are the tundras j shift transfer cases or push button? I’m not sure. If it’s j shift there’s company’s that make harnesses and kits to make the ADD work properly without needing the ECM and factory harnesses. You just lose the safety of it never being able to shift into 4x4 when going above 65

-.5 internet points for Jimmy jumps

@chrisb as most of the regulars have probably surmised... with the last job I did not have the luxury of time. Therefore, I had no real room for comfort. I had to learn to make full use of my time off from work.

Make the most of your time. Just my .02. Fucking full send bro! It won't take too long, and think how good it's gonna look.

There wasn't a button on the bezel so I'm assuming that's its just a j-shift. I know you and I talked about this about a year or so ago. My memory is rusty on the j-shift subject...

So with this company harness I could still shift into 4wd while in motion below 65? If so, I'd be fine with that.

What are the odds that the gear ratio on donor truck is the same on my truck? Likely?

    Bummer, but....

So the rear axle is on the donor truck, and already has one axle shaft removed (I think). If the diff isn't watery inside I could just snag that too. Gearing differences solved!

I know the rear pumpkin on that axle was rufff. Driveshaft was meh, but still usable. Needs grease.

    Gonna be a wild ride!

Still haven't found much for that wiring harness thing that @empty_lord mentioned for the j-shift adapter. Might not be using the correct key words. Iunno. I ry need to sleep. Up in 5!

Big if.... IF the rear end hasn't blown up or something. There is no impacts on the body. The only reason I can visually see for it being in the junk yard is rusty body/frame. A mystery that kinda has me scared, but willing to take the risk.

Maybe engine problems but I'm not sure because no history. Didn't think to snag a picture of the Vin to run through toyota owners.

Sticker on back glass said something about some store in Maine. Truck been in the thick of the rust...

anyone have a reason why I shouldn't buy an OEM radiator from my local dealer instead of a Denso off Rockauto? Also, I should be using the red (concentrated) or pink (diluted) coolant for my 06 yes?
