Bought an " in transit " Limited TRD Off Road a few weeks ago before they started hitting the dealerships in my area, scheduled to arrive the last week of January.
I've seen a few dealerships around start to get their demos (not for sale) on the lot but haven't seen any on the roads around Toronto yet...has anyone in the area taken delivery of their new truck yet ?

Every truck that I’ve seen local dealers get in have been promptly picked up and driven off. There one day and gone in a few. It’s impossible to find an SR5 off-road or above that’s not spoken for - there are a few SR5s kicking around available to be purchased however.

Nothing on the ground here in GP yet. They have about 20 incoming, not sure if they're all sold though. I'd guess so, since the dealer's lot is looking pretty sad. They've combined new and used into one building now. We took a drive through it today for giggles. I thought we were on a Chrysler lot, more Jeeps and Rams than Toyota...

Nice...same as mine but i got Army Green. Could you tell me what tires are on it after you get it ? Nobody seems to know for sure what tires and rims are coming on the Canadian models... US is getting Falkens with blacked out TRD rims i believe but it looks like in Canada we are getting a black / silver rim with just a plain Toyota symbol in the center and maybe Michelin tires.

Yes I saw the truck last week at the dealer (waiting for the nokian Hakkapeliitta to be received) and Yes the wheels is black and silver with some Michelin AT tires.

I'm not gonna lie, I wanted lunar rock with 6.5 box but could not wait more since I got no truck since september after my tacoma got stolen.

Shitty to hear about your Tacoma...i had to settle too. My original choice was the TRD Pro but all 6 of the dealerships i called in the area said the same thing " Anyone taking your deposit and telling you that they can get you a Pro before the end of '22 is lying to you" Then i decided on the Limited TRD in White and was told by all the dealerships that there are NO whites available in Ontario...so Army Green it is !

Nothing to look at here on Vancouver Island. Ordered an SR Sport - Blueprint, but might widen the options for the dealership and ask for that or an SR Off-Road. This trim line seems to have all the features I want and the extra 6+tax for the limited just isn't worth it to me for a sunroof.

See a lot of folks online complain about the price, but 56k for the SR Sport/OR doesn't compare anywhere with the big 3. To get the same options you easily end up with well over 60k.

Anyway, will be my first Toyota (coming from a Ram 1500 Sport) and like the looks of the new Tundra a lot.

    First post, sorry to babble.

Yhea its really worth it vs the american trucks as an exemple my tacoma got 6 oil change in 120k km and that's it, nothing else, trouble free.

Just got word that my SR Sport in Blueprint is ordered and due to arrive in late March. This is on Vancouver Island, just an FYI for anyone else.

    Cheers.

Does anyone know if Canadian Platinum trim has a power running boards?

If I do a build on Toyota.ca and select a platinum trim, it shows a running boards and rear step on a build image. But there is nothing mentioned in specs about it..

My local dealer has Tundras listed on their site as incoming vehicles and delivery dates of Feb to Apr depending on trim. Nothing to test drive, but they'll happily take a deposit. I'm not in the habit of parting with my money for something I've never even seen in person.

Don't know about your area, but when i gave them a deposit of $500 (Kitchener, Ontario) it was subject to a test drive and i could cancel and get my deposit back at anytime before taking delivery. However on the day to create the bill of sale, they had an SR5 for me to test drive. I was impressed when comparing it to my 2016 SR5

Question for us gen 3 Canuck owners here.

The tow mirrors are not available ( manual or powered) on the Limited trims. Yet in the states they can get them. Are there enough of us that would be interested to try and lobby or get our dealers asking up the food chain, for a swap out option, since they do exist I assume wiring etc is in place, & should just be a plug ne play. I would think a quick swap for the shop to do, I’m sure for a nominal fee of course.

maybe other options that would be straight swap outs for those interested. Like the camera rear view mirror perhaps. Could be it’s own thread if enough interest - admins? I know our options are very different from the states and limited.

my truck is expected in March fwiw.

I put a deposit on a Limited Crewmax about 10 days ago. Was told it could as quick as 8-10 weeks. Will be trading in my 2014 Ram. Looking forward to a new truck, hopefully in it by the spring!

How does a $75k truck not come with running boards? Even basic ones? Nuts. I feel hard done by without them coming on my Sport...

I wanted a Limited with the TRD package but wanted the JBL package but it’s not available in Canada on the Limited trim either. Super frustrating they’ve limited the options in the Canadian market. They’re made in the same plant…

    Welcome to the Forum!
Yes, We get the ´you’ll take what we give you & like it’ sales / build model here! To add a couple of basic upgraded options you need to go up a full trim level. Want JBL, get a Platinum, for 8-9k extra!

We have less customization options, but in general counting exchange rates in, our trucks are still a better deal than south of the border, but you gotta accept ‘packages’ vs individual item options

Yeah it's unfortunate. I don't really care about a moon roof, but would like the upgraded seats, but that's not worth jumping to the Limited from a Sport. Also still waiting for decent running boards, not keen on the steps.

Toyota has a TRD oval/flat tube style & the predator steps. Word on here is that several aftermarket fabricators have specs / measurements now and are building to fit. May be available for purchase within next month or so. So if you don’t have it in your driveway, you may be able to go after market soon & find what you like and get it in time for your delivery

After carefully reading all the replies here, delivery time is about right for Canada. March/April. Getting mine around End of March/Beg of April.

Will be missing my 2nd gen Tundra but very stoked to get the new gen. Can’t wait to get mine.
