Heard nothing but good things. The only thing extra you will need is some zip ties. Watch a YouTube vid on removing the inner fender skirt.

I’m always a bit leery of buying OEM parts from anywhere other than a dealer. There are some pretty authentic looking knockoffs out there.

 

TRD Pro Grille Insert via Empyre Off-road. Fit and quality are great. No issues with the radar sensor garnish, test drove about 75 miles so far.

 

Did you buy it with the gloss black surround and then have it color matched or did you get it MGM direct from them? I only ask because I went and looked at their site and black is the only option available right now.

 

Something as non-functional as a metal clamp on pretty sleeve, as long as it’s a passable fake, so be it. My TRD shifter knob came in the Toyota packaging and is high quality and looks passable for OEM. I believe it is.

 

I agree to an extent but if I'm going to pay OEM prices, I want that OEM authenticity and longevity guaranteed. Besides, in this instance to my door, it's $73.51 from Amazon or $78.58 from a dealer so I'd rather just pay the extra $5 at that point.

 

You do you. In my most round about way possible, I’m inferring that these are OEM parts. Not knock-offs. It’s the materials, the stamping, the logos, the packaging. All OEM. But I guess it’s possible they are super authentic fakes. Just doubtful they would be this good.

these are cosmetic only parts. I too am not a fan of buying potentially fake engine and maintenance parts.

 

I guess the point I'm trying to make to anyone reading this is buying from Amazon/Ebay versus buying from a dealer generally costs about the same, so may as well buy direct from a dealer. Plus all OEM parts come with a 12-month warranty and I don't know if that extends when buying from somewhere other than a dealer.

I already had a color matched surround. I ordered the insert only. To my knowledge the only way to get a color match is to order from dealer or Sparks. That or paint one.

 

The one linked is sold by Toyota of Miami.

Factory battery finally shit the bed. Replaced it with a red top optima.

No pictures but I put a 12volt solutions remote start on today. Install was easy but I have a question for anyone who has installed one. My tmps and fig lights come on when I use the remote start. But go off when I hit the brake. Is this normal?

I've been wanting one for a while now. So time will tell if I like it. I think it's a good product.

 

Thinking of doing something with this completely useless overhead console. Doing some research now. Perhaps a 2nd gen console will be more useful there.
