My biggest gripe is interior and bed dimensions shrunk, and the hump grew. Yet the truck got taller, wider, and longer. Just seems silly

    I wouldn’t have bought the f150 if it wasn’t $9000 from msrp

It seems some folks are on a mission to make sure everyone in universe know they don’t like the 2022 Tundra.

Please tell me how you are going to get into the Bed to load stuff on the 2022 Tundra ? I mean its a pickup truck. You buy it for the bed.

Climb onto the tailgate. Same way I have for 30 years. The first time you see someone slip off the corner of the bumper it won’t seem like such a good idea.

so do you think Toyota got rid of the corner bumper step because someone slipped off and smashed their face on the corner of the bed ?

So I’m probably going to stand on the rear tire to reach in the middle of the bed and get on the tailgate or stand on the middle of the bumper with the tailgate up and step over it. You are acting like they took off some amp research automatic heated 4 step stairway complete with red carpet.

What's going to be ridiculous when you can't fit a baby car seat in a truck that's ridiculous and no it's a big difference I have a 2nd gen double cab and the room is night and day difference compared to the 2022. I don't understand why everyone is so butt hurt, it's just my opinion that the truck is a big let down.
    *Less power than ford
    *Slightly faster than the V8
*Fuel economy is not hitting estimate epa numbers
*The truck is longer and yet lost interior room and bed space
*You have to pay for remote start
*Turning radius is bigger/drives bigger than the 2nd gen on the road but it looks smaller from the outside
*Seat confront has diminished for tall people
    *No bed step
    *Interior materials are mehh/plastic
    *No onboard generator
*No flat center console/work surface for work
    *Ride is average below ford
*Payload is horrible 1,555 is the best Toyota got. Ford tremor sits at 1,807
*Reliability is up in the air/to be determined
*3.31 gears only with no other offerings. Ford has many options 3.73, 4.10, ext
    *No tow hooks
*Price way to high for most Americans
*Only comes with 32.5 tires from factory. Ford is offering 33
    *No big transmission cooler
*Ram 5.7 hemi match the same time on ike towing test
I could keep going but going back to work. These are my opinions please don't go on a rant like I did

For a complete redesign as it is a "Pickup Truck with a Bed" - I feel they should have improved on the corner bumper step. Copy GM I don't care. Not just remove it and give no options. I am in and out of the bed more than the Cab. I also use the tire and one of these.

    https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/cosco-...oVfk_xwhFY_wiyizy7gEpZYXy4jU8MdkaAu4SEALw_wcB

I guess I am just finding it hard seeing the guy or gal who just spent $80k on a Platinum doing some wrestling manoeuvre to get into their bed.

I think you may have nailed it. But I can't accept it... not until I see and drive one...till then.

Sounds like you need to by a Ford. (Might get 2. 1 to drive while the other is in the shop?? Could just rotate them)

Not gonna lie, I am a huge Toyota fan but I hate seeing these massive recalls by any manufacture. Not safe in this case and I hope no one gets hurt due to this issue.
Hopefully Ford gets these all inspected/repaired quickly.

So you would probably get 21mpg highway you would expect
most of these issues are one persons opinion from a YouTube video that you choose to repeat. And some of that info is just wrong. And the Ike towing test? You understand all the trucks drive it in the same time but the tundra WAS faster?

The ram was faster go look at the video. But to be honest the tundra had alot more throttle left compared to the 5.7 hemi. I think at sea level both will perform equally. The V8 will have more top end power though..

Faster because the tundra was stuck be hind traffic and there’s a speed limit. The tundra greatly out accelerated the Ram. And if there’s no speed limit it wouldn’t have even been close. I can tell you scoured the internet for any little negative comment true or not and made it your fact.

Yep… Watch the video, Tundra was about 1/2 throttle and had slower traffic to contend with.

Time means nothing they will only go the speed limit and all trucks will do it at the speed limit. In the video they said tundra would've been faster,, but they got stuck behind slower traffic. Had a similar argument on Facebook and Andre responded to my comment and said he thought the Tundra was an excellent tow vehicle and was very stable and easy to drive.

Surprisingly, at that Colorado elevation, the RAM barely lost to the Tundra, it's at 5:50 mark of the video.
Very impressed by the RAM, I feel like at lower elevation it'd be showing the Tundra it's taillights

Since we are taking reliability, between Tundra and Ford F150 or any other 1/2 ton truck) .
Why does Consumer report's name Toyota Tundra, the only reliable used truck you should buy, from 2001-2021.
Is Toyota paying Consumers Report's off?
Or has Consumer report's done there homework, and found the Tundra to be the most reliable.

As far as the New 2022 model year, I trust Toyota to fix any issues with the new model.

My brother-in-law bought one of the first T100 twenty years ago, at 65,000
it blow a head gasket. When he took it to the Toyota dealer, the truck was out of warranty. Toyota said this should not happened and replace it for free.
It's not only reliability but also all about customer serves.
