Raptor. They’re reliable and the 3rd Gen has better features and looks better than the TRD tacundrarunner

This is the real world feedback I was looking for! Were you on a Ford forum as well? Similar issues or was yours last off the production line on a Friday? New gen address any off the issues you mentioned? Appreciate the information!

I was waiting for OV tunes SC tune and transmission tune to be more developed. Because I wanted the larger Harrop SC with upgraded fuel system.

But after driving a Tesla performance I’m considering parking the tundra out side my garage keeping it forever and buying a Tesla Plaid and I’ve had plenty of race cars and sport bikes .

    See, I just lack imagination.

I used to love the turbo i5 Audi's, and rabbits. After driving a Tesla it's no comparison. Drice something off the that would take 2 years to build.

    Sweet truck!

It was a mid year production and it’s a roll of the dice on the HP Ecoboost. Mine had a tune that added enough power the loaner Raptors at the training event felt broken. I was on a forum . Honestly most of the Raptor guys were Bros and jerks to each other. I missed the taco forums where everyone helped each other. Old Raptor owners were actually keying new Raptor owners trucks because “V8 is better than V6TT. “ I didn’t like worrying about 77k + mods sitting in a parking lot in our busy city getting bumped into regularly.

I like the way the raptor looks but it’s a ford. So….that seals it for me

    Op,
    I’ve driven a 2011, 2013 SC’d Raptor and a cobb tuned 2018 Gen 2.
All were a lot of fun, brought a smile to my face and cost me less than $1800 using Turo app.
Since you don’t plan to keep the truck long term & experience the pain of poor reliability I’d roll the dice and get a TRX. One of my HVAC customers has one, we went for a ride around the block and it’s feels like a Raptor took 3 scoops of pre workout, chugged a redbull and snorted 1/2 a lb of blow…

you are not close to cute or funny! Go add more pages to the dedicated "puss-in-hooks" thread and leave us alone. What's wrong, no one wants to burn down the factory over there?

Dang. I was just messing around. It sounds like you are legitimately angry about the tow hook jokes. I won’t mention it again outside of the hook thread. Sorry about that, I’m actually a nice guy.

LOL, haven’t considered the TRX, but I am guessing I am giving up something in the technology department for the added snort!

I wonder what the longevity is with the supercharger vs the regular hemi. I heard they might come out with a non supercharged trx. Would bring the cost down, and me personally I would just mainly want the suspension and looks. And the regular engine would be plenty for me.
Same goes for the tundra. I’m wanting to get the trd pro when it comes out, and I wish they would offer it in non hybrid, because I’ll be paying extra for something I don’t really care about. It is what it is.

Been around less than 2 months and this gets under your skin lol. First forum?

To OP, honestly no one can address the question because we know nothing about the capability of the TRD Pro.

if I were to choose between the 3 I’d get a TRX. In fact I’m trying to get one lol. I just sold my 21 Pro for a 21 F150 and it’s been great but I have a hook on an ignition edition TRX and trying to see what that would truly cost me- in gas lol

So it's not a reason to consider when comparing models?

    @Gene5253

What are the allowable topics you and Gene are saying the OP can consider or have mentioned in his thread?

    come on guys.

Not trying to clutter OPs thread up.. I'll leave it with this question.
If folks can post whatever they want (per you). Why get upset when they do?

TRX for the win. Saw my first one yesterday. OMG I was jelly:jellydance:

They really are great looking. Ram forums are one of the only forums I don’t follow so I don’t know what kind of issues they have.

I will say at this point OP could probably hold out for the Raptor R. Or if he wants a TRD pro competitor the ZR2.

because in all honesty if you don’t have a reservation on a pro by now it’s going to be hard. Same with the Raptor, if you don’t have one on allocation, you’ll be paying above msrp for an off the lot one.

Hopefully by the time the pro comes around, they will have figured out a way to add the “You know whats” from the factory. Then we can resume the pro vs debates. Until then it’s not even fair. I feel sorry for the pro. It has a unfair advantage right out of the gate without the (you know whats).
