What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Which one did you get? I want one that has adhesive covering the entire back of the overlay. The cover I currently have only had it in the middle and you can see the chrome on the sides. I can't get a response from the ebay seller's I've messaged.

Nope…Not on mine at least. The tube from the PCV is about six inches and hooks right back in to the front of the intake.

 

Everything is sat on top of the carpet, except for the storage areas, they go to the floor.

 

There IS an oil return from the IM to the block on firewall side, however, it's not through the PCV...there's a crappy tube with an o-ring that often is leaking due to a replaceable o-ring that requires you to nearly remove the engine and connection to the transmission, to replace and stop its leaking...the only "good" thing is it doesn't leak a whole lot...just a small amount that bakes to block and bell housing...

Front hood scoop and grill removed and sanded/primed/painted/sealed
Bumber Covers front and back all installed
Removed OEM decals and replaced with all black matte finish decals TRS Offroad
Will next tint the read and front headlights/taillights but i'm all out of gas/energy and have the
kiddo n his gf coming over for dinner and Matrix Resurrections on HBO Max tonight

I’ve always kinda wondered how tall you were after seeing you lean over that gas tank like a crane in your avatar.

I know that feeling but I’m not quite that tall.

 

Got my Christmas present installed. Rhino Vortex roof rack for the camper shell. Rhino customer service was awesome and sent me the missing parts. And it turns out, they don’t even have an Amazon site, they sent me the parts to complete my kit anyway.

 

Christmas Eve, just me and my tundra in the shop. 8 hours work. Pretty routine items. Spyder 1.25. front and rear sway bars, and husky long johns which turns out to be very challenging to do it decently.

Note: when I removed the factory mud flaps in the rear, j realized they have been rubbing on my paint. And it left permanent damage that I need to get them touched up for rust protection.

Didn't want to go with the flares for the same reason. That's why I d rather sacrifice the look and go with long johns after debating myself for a long time. Also wheel well fender clips are super pita I ended up replacing all of them with metal clips and bolts.

-35 on the way back lots snow on the highway. With both sways in place, this bad girl didn't hesitate at all when I crank the steering wheel.

I also removed the front well lips that my 305 ko2 have been rubbing on. Everything clear now. Like the way v8 sounds in the dead cold winter! Roarrrrrrrrrrrr!

It has some regen issue engine won't kick out of high idling. This is the bus they use in the mine.

 

Added the oem black chrome exhaust tip today. Really groundbreaking stuff here.

What size and which Coopers on those Nightshade rims?

 

275/60r20 and they’re cooper atp II. I’m very happy with the combo on stock suspension.

 

It’s the husky long john. 12 inch wide 48 inch length. I made several mistake measuring and cutting. The trick you drill holes as you go instead of drilling everything all at once cuz they won’t line up. So drill as u go.

Did some interior organization in the truck today. Started with just mounting a fire extinguisher to the underseat storage compartment (not exactly readily accessible, but it’s a clean, organized way to mount it). Then the bug bit me and I reorganized my whole underseat storage area, center console, and toolbox. I was even able to arrange my toolbox to fit my folding chair in there! Now I don’t have to ride around with it in the bed under the toolbox anymore. It’s the little things.
