So how bad IS the Flowmaster drone on these trucks?

I've had a ton of V8 engines, and every one has had aftermarket exhaust. I've had some that drove me insane inside the cab, and others that were pretty great. I'm about to get the exhaust shop to swap in a performance muffler on this 2016 Tundra. I'm heavily leaning toward a Flowmaster this time. But there are different series, like the really loud Super 10s, up to the most common 40s, to the ultra quite 50 series.

Who here has a Flowmaster muffler? I'd specifically like to hear your thoughts on interior drone and reverb inside the cab. Is it really bad?

I’d highly recommend you check with Keith @dirtydeeds he can steer you in the right direction. He has hundreds if not thousands of more than satisfied customers on this website. He truly tunes and builds the exhausts specifically for the Tundras.

I have the flow master 40 dual in single out and love it. Drone isn’t bad at all to me but it’s subjective to each person. I had the ba muffler 8 the flow master is a bit deeper and fuller sounding but the drone is the same. I did not use the heimholtz on the ba muffler because I liked the sound of the exhaust going down the highway. To me that’s why you get an exhaust so you can hear it. I’m very happy with the Flowmaster 40.

Having built over 15,000 exhaust systems for tundras, I can wholeheartedly say that I will build you the perfect exhaust for your situation, and it’ll just so happen to bolt onto your truck.

cutting up the stock mandrel bent, stainless steel exhaust system and welding in something more restrictive than stock, makes it very hard to go back to stock.

our system is a direct bolt on and is easily reversible.

We are also doing a New Years sale starting tomorrow.

    call for details.

I installed the dirty deeds resonator. It took the drone out of my 50 series flowmaster, and will take the drone out of any muffler I switch to in the future. I hate drone. Hate it.
