Thats awesome. I'm happy for you. I still need to sell my T100 and install an alternator on the T3. Not sure when I'll have the time yet.

You are too far away, but I've always liked T100s but I always buy cheap shit.

The most expensivest car I ever bought was for an ex. She is still driving that car. Didn't want to fight her in court for a $5k car. Wasn't worth it to me.

Also, is the alternator actually bad? You can replace the brush for around $17

I’ve heard that it doesn’t work because our trucks flash twice instead of once but then that would mean it should work on the lock/departure since it only flashes once. Idk, it would be nice to have it figured out though. I just got a replacement smart tap flasher from DD but it didn’t change anything so it’s just incompatible with our trucks I guess.

#1 goal for tomorrow, install new shell T handles. Stoked to have 6 keys instead of 1. I sure hope they all match.

#2 goal is backup camera. I did lots of parking lot driving today. I remember the parts I didn’t like about this truck. It’s not maneuverable and it’s not the best with rear vision. Hoping cameras change that. Front camera might be very nice too.

sliders on Monday. Aim for forward progress every day.

running cats in the truck.. would you go with 3" cats right off the manifold and step down after the cat to 2.5" or do a step down right away into a 2.5" cat.. never made an exhaust where the collector is larger than the diameter that i want to run...

looking at Kooks catalytic converters to make the tree huggers happy. (and kill the smell of that god awful e15 were subject to here.)

Can't run stock cats with long tubes? I remember Keith saying something about the exhaust shot would need to make my mid pipes if I wanted to keep stock cats

I just don’t want to hack up the stock exhaust since there’s another tundra in the family that will be staying stock and may eventually need them.

and aftermarket are way less likely to be stolen

I'll probably end up ordering the cat shields that bolt to my skid row skid plate once my exhaust is on. Still waiting for it...

I'd prefer to restrict exhaust as far from the motor as I can, so of those choices 3" cat.
A cat in the wrong place might be less likely to be found/stolen.
If they're already under your truck to steal your cat - they'll take it, after-market or factory.
...Unless they think you don't have one because it's in the wrong location.

I’m not a expert, but I reduced down at the header collector. Bigger parts, bigger prices(in my case the Vband flanges)

I’ve decided 3” cat directly off the manifold, then taper down to 2.5”.

the taper after the cat will effectively allow the cat to do its job a bit better while not hurting flow. At least that’s what my exhaust guru has informed me. And he works for rayhal letterman racing.
