I've been watching YouTube and Wescott Designs. They have a 22 Tundra they are designing a lift kit. Hopefully by the time I receive my truck the lift is available. My dealership also told me that if I use a non OEM lift that it will void the factory warranty but not sure if they can do that.

I highly recommend this video because I think it might answer that question.

Interesting, my dealership told me that the Tundras were designed to be lifted i.e. the TRD lift kit and that lift kits under a certain height would not void the warranty or affect the safety sense 2.0. FWIW the guy I spoke with was there finance guy that was replacing a 21 tundra and had a 22 on order.

They're selection is strange right now for some of the cover options. They offer the soft tri-fold for the 5.5' bed with & without the bed rails and for the 6.5' bed but only without the bed rails. I chatted with one of the RC dudes and he said they had no plans to offer the soft tri-fold for a 6.5' bed with the rails or the hard cover for anything other than the 5.5' bed. I guess that eliminates them for me since I have a 6.5' bed with the rail system.

In the video he says that truck is on 295/60R20's(33.9x11.6). I would be down to run a spacer temporarily until the TRD kit comes out but not if i have to buy expensive tires twice in 1 year.

Is there anyone out there that has successfully fitted 35x12.5's on a 22 with a small spacer like this one?

Most “leveling kits” I have seen designed seem to high in the front. I can’t stand that bro lean. One made the claim they come stock with 2.5” of rake. That seems crazy

This was/is my plan also…also wanted to switch the current 295/70/18s from my 2015 CrewMax onto my new 22 SR5 but if it will void the warranty I plan to wait until the kit comes out.

full disclosure…I haven’t watched the warranty video above either so I will see what it says.

Does anyone have any experience or more detailed info on the factor bed step? I can’t find any videos of how they work or how they controlled. Do they deploy every time the bed opens? Is it a switch in the truck? Does it have a electric motor on it?

If you have the Limited or above trim with the tailgate switch at the driver's brake light, it will deploy automatically with the tailgate (and raise automatically). For those of us in Coach (SR, SR5) if installed would be manual (but easy to deploy and retract, I tried it on a 2021 at the dealership.)

Looks awesome. I've looked at the front bumper on my 22 Tundra and to do something like that would require a lot of cutting. Plus...the TSS sensor/radar & parking sensors are all so low on the front bumper that you would either 1) Have to delete them entirely or 2) relocate them. However, on this mockup, I can't see where you might relocate the TSS sensor. It will be interesting to watch the aftermarket tackle that problem.

Note: Major cutting is not unusual. It's pretty much required on most front winch bumpers. Especially on the 5th Gen 4Runner. However, I'm not a fan of losing important features like the radar & pre-collision braking. I could give up the front parking sensors, if I had to.

    Holy Crap…it’s manual deployment???

I’ve got a coach class SR5 on the way that was optioned out with that but I didn’t realize it was manual.

Does anyone have any confirmed Toyota part #’s that can be pinned. I see a bunch on FB but it’s hard to weed through that info as well as cross referencing on Google. Thanks if you’ve purchased some and can post!

Interesting how some dealers get this info and others don’t.
Up to yesterday mine didn’t have a part number (therefore no way of ordering one for me).
    Thanks for the info

FYI Sparks listings are not accurate. Went to the dealership to check pricing and brought part numbers. Some running boards listed on Sparks as crewmax were actually for double cab. Will post parts when I get him as I ordered runners and the tonneau cover.

Contacted Diamondback and they indicated looking to do measurements soon to see what changed. I think I may try the 180 this go around.

Follow up on Sparks....I went to the dealership to get pricing and availability. Dealership was able to order the Tonnau cover no problem with the part number from @jakejen007 (PT954-34220-02) for the 5.5ft bed. I am sure those needing a 6ft could get it at dealership already, they just need to know how to search as at least my dealership had a few options. Price for me after tax was $1303.50 which is in line with the $1295 I had seen on spec sheets. I then ordered the black running tubes with the Toyota symbol on the, pic attached. Sparks lists the code as PT925-34222 for the Crewmax however when the dealer looked in their system, that number was actually a set for a double cab. The same boards for the Crewmax is PT925-34223. The double cab listed on Sparks was $566.56 after shipping and another $32.37 for the bolts they sell separately. That smaller combo would have been $640 after tax. I picked up the Crewmax size with bolts and tax for $632.50 at the dealership. The dealership confirmed the Sparks bed mat is accurate on part number, but couldn't get it. Their price was nearly $230 so I went to Sparks and ordered it and with shipping and tax about $170 total.
