    Too many, but not enough....
Just went up a 150 year old unmaintained mountain supply road 7000 feet up with 6 inches of snow, in the rain and mud with a full cab and bed and stock size bfgs and my 21 ate it for breakfast and asked for seconds. Only had it in 4wd to stretch its legs and give the system a good lubin.

I was drawn to this dumpster fire like a moth to a flame...:bananadead: In the 2 years that I have had this truck I can say pretty confidently that the Tundra better than my Tacoma was in almost snowy scenario. :notsure:

the OP made me cringe as a mid-western Canadian that drives half the year in snow. It does pay to mention that the Michelin tires my truck was spec'd with were 100% garbage. All-Terrains, pedal modulation, 4x4 when necessary will all make the experience better.

Man, am I glad I got a 19, and in white. Blends in with the snow, they think they are one, and I am able to go everywhere I wanted during our one snow storm a year we get.

learning how to turn off the nannies makes a huge difference. And I have a sport model with basically road tires. Oh and I learned how to drive in the snow in upstate NY.

I better go put mine on Craigslist right now then. BUT it does have recovery hooks.

This is my first rear wheel drive vehicle. The traction control has been really helpful to me learning how to drive on slippery conditions. Or I just switch it to 4 and good to go.

ABS, I wouldn't own a vehicle without. That "i can't stop" feeling has been proven wrong time and time again. Even in snow.

Lower the front way down so you don't need to waste money on a plow.

An empty RWD truck is the worst thing you can drive in snow. Put a couple sand bags over the rear axle, get some snow-rated tires, and it will be awesome. I’m running Duratracs in a skinny 35 size (285/75R18), and snow has never been a problem.

Even just reading the manual and learning how to use or deactivate all the traction modes will help a ton, too.

Remove your tow hooks on the front end immediately! Too much weight forward on the front end and no traction on the rear is your problem.
Don’t you know that is the reason they are not on the 2022 Tundra! :duel:

Honestly, the last thing most folks should do is deactivate the traction control.

First, Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama), where we get just enough snow to let us know y'all up north aren't lying about this fluffy white stuff. Second, there are WAY too many happy Tundra owners who live and drive in snow all the time for this to be a truck problem. Some of the responses here have real advice that will improve your situation. The rest are just seeing how thick your skin is!

There is a 50% chance that someone on this forum created this account just to stir the pot. :stirthepot: My trolling sensors went off. All you need is good tires and the knowledge of how to drive in the snow.
