I replace the starter on my 2004 Toyota Sequoia kuya it starts and runs but it's making a loud swish

    Replaced the starter now it's making a swishing sound it does start but it's got low gas mileage and it only goes maybe 45 miles an hour
    I replace my 2004 Toyota Sequoia starter unfortunately it's making a swishing sound now it does run but it doesn't go over 45 . I can't figure out where the sounds coming from

    Swishing like air? Replacing the starter involves removing the intake manifold. Did you use new intake manifold gaskets?

    I'm guessing intake manifold gasket leak based on the sound.

    Do yourself a favor - go to local auto parts store and have them scan for codes. I'm sure they'll find some which could give insight, although I'm pretty sure we already know what this is.- @bmf4069 can attest.

    Make sure the intake tube and filter housing and sealed up correctly too

    Mine sounded like a sucking noise coming from under the intake. Is that where yours is OP?
