What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Added silver sky grille surround, silver sky hood bulge, tpo ecoological bumper caps, OEM led fog lights, trd sport grille!

 

Thought they were in there. I’ll try and edit.

No worries! Just thought it sounded like quite a few great mods. Also did you use the AJT relocation bracket for the TSS since you’re running a 2017 pro grille?

 

Thanks man! They were a little bit more difficult to install than I thought. Usually though that means a quality fit if it’s a little more challenging. Very happy with the Ecoological thus far.

 

I did, works fine.

 

I almost went this route instead of the sport grille and surround. May still do it down the road!

 

I got 7 years and 100k out of the one on my 4Runner. I tried buying the same factory battery, but it wasn't produced anymore. Go figure. I've read multiple posts about people only getting 2-3 years out of their Tundra battery. Guess we'll see.

 

Did you buy Matt black or textured?

 

I bought the textured TPO. It matches perfectly with the center of the bumper

They also sell bumper covers in color match choices but were out of stock of silver sky. I think they were also $100 more than the black

Tundra made visit number 3 to the dealership. Wyoming wind pushed the door open too far and needed a new door check. Might have fixed the issue but door still doesn’t shut right so now the body shop needs to work their magic. Is it too soon to call this a money pit?

 

Damn that sucks. That wind was no joke though.

 

Yeah that ls why I went with the Toytec coil overs. No snap rings to mess with and you can adjust on the truck if you need to add more lift later on And/or level side to side. But makes sense they would be for the shocks and not the shackles

 

I ordered them from Sparks Toyota, he recommended the 2018ʻs said they would fit, which they did after softening them up a bit. Here is the link when I purchased them.

Also, started to CRC Marine undercoat the truck. Saw rust around the axle/wheel mounting plate? See photo.

What is that piece called? Is it safe to use a rust remover/rust converter/ and spray with CRC undercarriage protection spray all up in it???

Not that I know anything but mine looks the same...

 

I debadged today and replaced "Tundra" with the full black replacement versus an overlay. I opted not to do the V8 badge because I've never been a fan of the black version. It just looks like a black rectangle to me.

I almost just left no badges on it but there was a faint outline around "tundra" and I couldn't find my detailing stuff to buff it out so I threw the badges on anyways.
