Removed the black vinyl wrap off the exterior B pillar. What a difference! Took about an hour or so with a heat gun and some patience. Combined with the color matched door handles and mirror caps, it’s a tasteful touch for sure. I love the way it’s turned out.

I've always wondered... what's the thought behind dumping the exhaust? I don't mean that in a judging way, just genuinely curious. Is it purely an aesthetic preference of having no tailpipe coming out the back, or is there more to it?

    Seat Jackers.

Have a 7 hour trip to S. Louisiana tomorrow, so I'll report back. Also installed on the passenger side, so I'll ask the wife half way through the trip whether it's more comfy for her. A bit of a control group...

Ok, so I have everything. Eibach Toytec loaded front shocks and the JBA UCA’s rear shocks and the Toytec shackles with new spring bushings for the leaf springs. But I have no idea where the snap springs go. Any ideas.

Makes sense. Wasn't thinking about it from an offroad standpoint.

It stays where its assembled at for the 2.5'' of lift for the 4WD Tundra you selected. You are getting your lift from the spring, not by the adjustments of clip settings.

The clip settings were originally designed to be used with a factory coil spring.

Well, I finished fooling with all the color matching stuff and my battery decided today was the day. Got nearly 4 years out of the OE battery, so that’s not too shabby. I put a shiny new one under the hood now.

I keep hearing about batteries only lasting a handful of years. Is this a truck thing or a Tundra thing? I didn't replace the battery in my Yaris until 12 years into it and then I only did it because I thought I should. My first Truck so I have no reference.

It’s mostly weather and use. Extreme heat or extreme cold cuts a battery’s lifespan down significantly. And so does heavy use. Trucks likely demand more from the battery than a Yaris (more cranking power, more features and accessories drawing power, etc.) Granted, the battery is bigger and has more cranking amps, so it’s proportional, but they are worked harder.

In Florida, because of the heat, a 3 year lifespan out of a battery is pretty average. Anything after that is luck, which is why I’m pretty pleased with getting 4 years out of mine.

After bed liner conditioner application. A little labor intensive but stuff works well.

Thanks. I'm in South Dakota where winters are pretty brutal. I'll just have to budget for it I guess.

they should be pre-installed for the 2.5” of lift - did they not come pre-assembled with the springs already on the shocks?

Yeah that cold will take it’s toll on your battery after awhile. Maybe three years or so. When you replace it, just make sure you get one that’s at or above your current cold cranking amps (CCA). OE battery was 710 CCA, new one is 750 CCA. Right at $200 for the one with a 4 year replacement warranty.

The shocks came pre Assembled with springs and top hat, drop in. The snap spring I speak of came with the shackles and bushings. The bushings are for the leaf springs once the factory bushings have been pushed out of the leaf eyelet. Not for the frame bushings those get re used. I emailed Toytec and have not got a response in over a week.the instructions don’t say anything or show anything about the 1 snap ring per side on the shackle instructions

Yesterday, installed a westin outlaw bumper and hidden hitch (not a high clearance bumper, but did get rid of the hitch that I drug a few times) giving me a bit more clearance and stopping the questions of whether I'm going to get a steel rear bumper to match the front lol

Today installed and wired up my diode dynamics pro ditch lights. Going to work on aiming them tonight. Sole use is seeing wildlife early before they jump out.

@Diode Dynamics is a kickass company, by the way.

ahhh….that makes more sense. However when I purchased my CB shackles they did not come with snap rings if memory serves. Not even sure what the purpose of a snap ring would be for a shackle - the are contained around the bolt and with the shackles so can’t imagine why a snap ring would be needed.

Ok I figured it out, the snap rings I asked about are extra rings. Although they were packed with the bushings but not intended for the bushings. Since the Eibach shocks are sold without the pre loaded fully assembled unit and Toytec sells them unloaded and fully assembled they use their own snap ring used on the perch and not the one from Eibach. They just send them to the customer. Again head scratching and confusing.

So far I’ve blacked out the badges, plasti dipped the rims, ultra flex bed cover, power running boards, 2017 trd pro grill with color matching surround and door mirror covers. Last weekend built the under seat storage (got the idea from youtube). Today, installed front facing camera. Planning on doing a remote start soon and, the chrome bumpers have to go, just can’t justify a 1000 bucks for the covers, yet.
