Top Ten Mods Lists

After seeing a video I thought this might be a good idea.

List YOUR top ten favorite mods you've done to your truck.

I need to think about mine before I post.

 

In no particular order

1. The 4.56 gears
2. The Kazuma LSD
3. The Spintech muffler
4. The JBA shorties
5. The retrofit headlights (and black corners)
6. My Alpine head unit
7. Painting the side molding with bed liner
8. Alcan leaf springs
9. Camburg upper arms
10. Fox coilovers (even though they were a seriously shit design when I got them)

the rest will happen eventually.


I want a ford 7.3 gas and a 10 speed. Or a 1uz and a 5-speed.
I want long travel.
I want a cap.
I want a solid front axle.
I want some wuhan war whistles.

i want to get myself into situations where i might need any of those things. But the truck does everything i need it to now. Hauls motorcycles, (*caveat* i need to remove my back seat so my dog has more room.) hauls rocks, hauls ass, and 18mpg is great for a 4x4. The titan still does 20, but it can get stuck in wet grass.

camry truck is best truck.
But its too pretty and im scared to park it, and scared to throw it at other cars.

i’ve gotta mention one of grandpa’s mods for you guys with wheel locks.
Will be tapping and putting a ring on all the wheel keys i can.

 

1. De-level
2. ABS delete.
3. Daytime running lights delete.
4. Door/key chime delete.
5.LED dash light conversion
6. Air-bagged rear end.
7. Defrost AC delete

 

I really haven't done much beyond the activation of the built in VIP3000 alarm for free and the changeover to synthetic ATF fluid in my transmission back in 2003.

Should've bought the glass breakage sensor when it was available, but I'll live without.

I could understand a notblack truck needing all that…seems excessive…

 

It would only be excessive if I painted all those parts black. Looking back, I wish I had.

 

On behalf of all the first gen crowd, we need details on this one. And pics, please.

New grill and hood surround
method wheels with Falken 295 70 18
LED Headlights
a bunch of LEDs
new headunit speaks and sub
on board air
warn half bumper and winch
remove all chrome
interior LED and bed lights
remote start

 

Don't worry, I took a ton of photos throughout the whole project. I'll make a thread today or tomorrow.

I'm old & my 'Mods' if you call them that will be laughable to most here.
But I like to keep all the running gear stock.
Here's my list.

#1 Snug Top Super Sport shell w/ keyless entry (added digital camo cloth side window coverings)
#2 3M Crystaline Window tint all the way around, including entire windshield (lighter tint for my old eyes at night)
#3 Pioneer head unit / all new speakers / backup camera etc.
#4 Carhartt Precision Fit seat covers complete front / back / dash cover $$$
#5 Added foglights to factory location and OEM 'stalk/blinker' kit
#6 Weathertech floor mats front & back
#7 Odyssey AGM Battery
#8 Restored headlights with sand / polish / 2K Clear
#9 Fumoto Drain valve on oil pan
#10 . . . and all the maintenance of fluids, filters, wipers, ceramic wax, engine detail, MAF, TB, etc. etc.

**** special mention for the Rokform Magnetic Universal Phone Mount . . . Low Profile, Versatile, and simple.

 

I can do that too! Including what I did to make it ride nice with all of the weight.
