I work at a dealership in Ontario and the law does prevent us from listing above MSRP on a new vehicle.

( we don't do the following ) What dealerships can do is either charge fees to get above it, or some are registering the vehicle and then selling them as "used" vehicles, which then allows them to set whatever price. It's a BS practice and Toyota Canada has emailed all dealerships reminding them that we are to take care of customers during such times, not take advantage. That being said, dealers are independent and don't need to follow Toyota's recommendations on all things.

Thank you for clarifying and speaking from a dealership employee's perspective!

Maybe we need to start a 'Canadian Dealerships that don't charge Dealer Fees' thread with an updateable file?

I know Woodstock, Ontario Toyota charges a dealership fee.

Yes Good looking truck but not impressed with the mileage and he says he takes it easy on the gas. I get 13.5 - 14.0 with the mileage on my 5.7 liter in normal driving.

My 2012 Tacoma gets that in mixed driving. I will be tickled if my new Tundra matches or beats it. That accent isn't from NL, that I can tell you.

North London Toyota are total douchebags. Charge for 2 "free" oil changes and air in the tires.

Heffner Toyota, Kitchener for their 62 years of business does not charge dealership fees or over MSRP on their new inventory.
(Full disclosure I had been a sales associate here for my 8 years and recently become one of the sales managers here)

Still full time Tundra enthusiast however and family overlander haha

Am I a complete idiot or can you NOT get an SR5 TRD Sport DC 6.5' bed here in Canada?

This guy is demonstrating one in Michigan but when I configure one on Toyota.ca I can't select the SR5 package and the TRD Sport package. The only DC SR5 available is the 8' bed. Unless I'm incorrect, you have to go up to a Limited to get a DC 6.5' bed.

Hopefully it gets better as he breaks it in. But when people say they take it easy on the gas, 9 times out of 10 they're full of shit.

The accent sounds Nova Scotian to me. Could be Ontario though. Eastern Canadians are the reason for the stereotypical Canadian accent protrayed in the media. Nobody in the West talks like that at all, unless they're from the east.

I'm pretty sure every dealership charges document fees. Every dealership I've ever been to also says they have the lowest document fees in the province, regardless of whether they charge $200 or $800.

DC or CM? It sure looks like you can spec a DC TRD Sport, at least in Alberta.

Things may have changed, but when we purchased from Dixie Toyota (Mississauga) in September 2020 they weren't. Forbes Toyota (Waterloo) wasn't, as of July 2016. Woodstock and Stratford Toyota (Stickland's) both were. I cannot say enough BAD things about Stickland's btw. F those guys!
I haven't purchased from Heffner Toyota (Kitchener) since 2008. Heffner service department is fantastic. Just always ask for Rob McLennan.

Because Toyota Canada negotiates our available units, the TRD Sport Crewmax is not available up here in the 6.5 :(

Only on the doublecab from what we've been told and seen so far on our ordering guides.

DC. But, how do you get the SR5 package along with it so you get the better engine, larger fuel tank and brake controller?

totally sounds like a coaster to me too!! Got an extnded family full of them :)

Good? to see some of the little annoyance issues being discussed, like charging port location and wind noise in real world truck. Looking forward to more as trucks get delivered.

Very true. Had great experiences with Jay, and Ryan before he went on paternity leave.

Btw Matt S emailed me yesterday and I got back to him this morning. Congrats on the promotion K!

    Thank you very much :)

I miss the direct sales, but also enjoy the new coaching/leadership role.

The wait times on the new Tundras, and well everything these days is really terrible lol.

On the build site dont select from the Pre selected models, go to build your own, and then other models come up. The SR5 model (not package on an SR) is available in 6.5 ft bed crew max

My understanding is every SR5 in Canada gets those. What makes you think they'd be included on the SR5 but not the SR5 TRD Sport?

I must be a complete idiot because I don't see anywhere on here where you can build an SR5 Sport with a Double Cab, 6.5' bed and 4WD.

I see the SR with SR5 Package, but you can't select the TRD Sport Package on top of that.
SR5, but it's an 8.1' bed and no TRD Sport Package (no packages actually).
SR5 Crew Max 6.5' bed, but no TRD Sport Package (TRD Off Road only).

I do not see a 4WD SR5 Sport anywhere on the site in either DC or CM.

    I'm in Ontario btw.

It's just worded incorrectly online -- the packages sandwich onto each other. So if you choose TRD Sport, it offers whatever the SR5 also had, plus the extras.

apologies, i misunderstood your want :( & missed the DC reference.

I also dont see the double cab SR5 with 6.5 bed, only the long bed which for that model is the 8 footer.

Thanks again K! I've gone back and reviewed again and now I just don't see where an SR with the TRD Sport Package (that incorporates the SR5 Package) gets the 122 L tank?

Are you so kind to direct us to that law you are mentioning? That you are forbidden to sell the new ones above the MSRP? Adding a market fee beside the MASRP is not the same thing? The law is forbidding to sell to a higher price than the advertised one - but that has nothing to do with the MSRP.
One dealer I know for sure is Terrace Ford in Burlington - if you look on their website you will see the overall price listed about 5% or more on top of the Sticker price. Talking to a sales guy he told me upfront that they are charging 5% over MSRP plus a $4000 mandatory package that include bed spray on and other things. Also they are charging 12K over for the 5 Broncos they have
