It always blows my mind that people will cut the factory harness. It hardly costs anything for a harness to get proper color coded wires to splice together with the new radio harness.
You have any pictures of what you are dealing with now?

I am not very familiar with the 05's but is there any chance that runs to a small amp that sits behind the HVAC controls. If so you may be in luck. I'm just not sure what year they moved the amp to somewhere in the back.

Well that's all I had to offer. Older 1st gens have a small amp behind the HVAC controls that uses a standard Toyota connector. Unfortunately I don't have much to offer you with an 05. There are links to factory service manuals for your year truck floating around here that may be of interest but I'm not sure where that link may be at the moment.

There are a few that are pretty good with the newer 1st gen stuff, just don't think they are awake yet. May have to give it a few.

If you know what goes where I'm sure you can. Just need to find a wire diagram. Might be some info if you search around on the forum.

Many would also appreciate and be more willing to help if you had a nice intro and a few pics of your truck and maybe some detailed background as to the pickle you're in.

Good luck with those wires. Hope you can find a diagram or more info from someone.
