What the heck are those things that look to be stuck on the inside of the bed panel? Super messy looking job.

I figured that's what they were. Just looks like a messy install for Toyota.

I'm new to the Tundra community. I must say you lot are really hyper analyzing the hell out of this 3g truck.

If you plan to have a vehicle for 10+ years you should probably make sure it checks as many of your boxes as possible.

Besides, this is a once a decade thing for a Tundra. People gotta get their fix while they can. Lots of us will be dead before a 4th gen rolls out.

Yep, I agree and it’s a little weird. Like where are their girlfriends or wives. Probably someone else is analyzing (get it) them with the level of distraction on here. Fun to read how neurotic a whole group of guys can be about a truck.

Looks like tundra has a chance to leap Ford. 22 hybrid f150 got knocked from 24 mpg to 23 mpg.

SR5's + SR 5's Off-road have chrome surround, SR5 sport have color matched surround, Limited + Offroad have the grille surround satin silver. Didn't see Platinums yet

Not a fan of the rear bumper being one piece into the rear quarter panels. God for bid if you get hit in a parking lot or something, it is gonna cost you an arm and a leg to fix. normally you would be repairing or replacing a small section.

Not one of his best Vids, but at least we found out it now has a conventional screw off oil filter. Also as he described, looks like having tow hooks added, seems difficult to say the least.

I’m not a fan of this either. Sometimes when turning around in the mountains, in the dark, I end up driving a little bit by braille.

Should be the opposite. When you ge into a crash instead of replacing large parts you only have to replace small sections.

Katzkin Leather seats, JRI shocks, Rival aluminum skids, 285/70/17 outpost nat, Berger catch can, icon rear +.5 springs, gator trifold bed cover, Perry parts bump stops, switchback turn signals,
Look a little closer… the rear bumper is several small pieces…
My 2013 bumper was hit…it folded up into the rear quarter panel and was very expensive!!! The 2022 would have saved alot of $$$

So if you get the TRD Sport package in a Limited or Platinum trim, is it still color matched? Or is that exclusive to the SR5?

Well this is not possible in Canada, not sure about elsewhere. Sport is exclusively to the SR5 Trim. I am talking only about trims I've seen in reality or real pictures

Does anyone have experience adding packages or features to past vehicles after purchase? For example would it be possible to after purchase at some point, add a option to the truck such as trailer backup guide with straight path assist. Wouldn’t that just be a computer programming thing? Or pvm package since the truck has the cameras anyway on the limited? Or is it pretty much “it comes from the factory or it can’t have it”. Some of these options are pretty cheap but for whatever reason you can’t get multiple packages. You have to have one or the other. But if you can buy it later through the dealer.. that would be great.

No. Only the corner pieces. If you get hit from behind you still have a functional bumper. But if you get hit from the corner you have a small corner piece to replace.
