I need a little wiring help
I'm wiring up a Maestro RT02 harness for a Pioneer head unit. I have mostly everything wired up per the instructions but I'm stuck on step 3 it shows a mini connector coming from my OBD harness plugged in somewhere on the main harness pictured but I don't have that connection on my harness. Has anyone ran into this and is it necessary to have it plugged in?
    Thanks

You don't need the OBD connection. Let me find it...I have a pic of all of the cables that are not used. The Meastro kit comes with multiple cables so that they don't have to make so many vehicle specific kits.

Here is what was not used on my 2020 when I installed my Pioneer. I didn't need the OBD for my 2020 because everything runs through that data cable. I don't know if your year is different. There are a couple of guys on here that installed Meastros in the earlier year range as yours I believe.

Yes try it and see what happens. I'm not familiar with the the differences between the 2015 and 2020. I came from a 2013 to my new one.

You only need that if your radio has obd2 functions on the screen. If your radio doesn’t have the ability to scan codes or display gauges, there won’t be a place for that plug. It’s been a while since I installed my 996xr, which has that function. But I believe you still need an obd compatible radio. Keep in Mind the harness is “universal” to cover every possible install option. So your radio may or may not have every feature or need every wire.

My Pioneer had guages and OBD stuff, but that data goes through the data cable and the OBD cable was not needed.

Alright so I installed my radio without OBD plug I was able to see most vehicle info besides the tire pressure . Once I plugged the harness in I was able to see tire pressure after also enabling OBD2 reading on the head unit maestro settings . Only thing I can't figure out is why my Fuel guage is not reading anyone have any idea on how to fix that ?
