It’s probably the same stuff that’s on my Chevy work truck. It holds up just fine.

Thanks for sharing the link. I’m a little confused by their rankings since the F-150, F-150 Raptor, Ram and Ram TRX each consume a spot on their list. Is the argument that the Raptor and TRX are sufficiently different from the models that they’re spawned from that they are technically different trucks?

Yes, they are different enough to be their own.

Look at Subaru as an example. Forever they had the Impreza abd the Impreza WRX. They ran that for quite a while, but the performance is so drastically different in multiple ways that they finally divorced the Impreza name so there is now the Impreza all on its own, and then the WRX.

Ford hasn't separated the Raptor from the F150 and Ram hasn't separated the TRX, but both are divergent enough they could. The TRX is supercharged. It's in a league of its own compared to any other Ram 1500. The Raptor has higher power output, completely different suspension, and body panels that are not on any other F150.

I think of the Raptor as a factory long travel F150 on a budget. It loses its appeal real quick that way.

Same. My ‘21 has some pinstriping. I didn’t buy it in order to worry about preserving its value as much as possible.

That may be, but it's still divergent enough that just calling it an F150 would be disingenuous. I'm not saying it's good, just different enough to be counted as such.

Saw this while dropping my wife’s vehicle off at the dealership this morning. Have to say…as much as I like shiny new stuff, this has confirmed my desire to wait a year or two before buying a new one. There’s no way I could drive one of these without modifying it to lift it, bigger tires, etc.

Back seat of extended cab is SMALL. Payload is 1500.

He was pretty excited to get the word out that 33” tires don’t rub on a truck that comes with 32.6” tires lol I’m considering going from stock 265/60r20 32.6” fulkens to 275/65r20 34” kO2’s I wouldn’t expect any issues except I might lose the ability to run chains on the front. Would like to see someone’s experience with gas mileage affect first.

    lol.

and ya, while I haven't seen one yet in person, it seems from all the photos it needs bigger tires to look right with these colored wheel arches they have on everything.

I still think those would look better color matched, especially on the platinum

I think their 34s. He said 295/70r17, but those are 18” trd wheels I think. If he meant to say 295/70r18, then this is a 34.3. X 11.77 tire. He also said that 35s are fitting with just a level

Ya it’s hard to say what he meant because he kept saying wrong numbers but he did say over and over 33” tires fit. Well that’s good lol. It always seems safe that you can go up 2 inches at least over stock and be fine. But adding width can be an issue/

They look to big to be 33s. I think if I get the pro, I’ll slap these 34” 295/70s and be done with it. Looks to be just right.

I thought that was a tacoma when I glanced at it, looks small and low. Back seat must be terrible. I thought the payload would be higher in that model

But will the back seat fit a few guns and a black lab? :monocle: I have a request for a limited DC off road. if the dc is in fact 1.5” shorter then the 2nd gen that it will be plenty big.

I'll say it until it changes. GM seats alone make the whole line worth skipping over.

It'll definitely fit a few guns and a black lab...but I'm dead sure it wouldn't fit my 13 year old son. My '13 F150 seems like it had more back seat room, honestly.

Didn't want to start a new topic for such a weak concern so:

When I go to pickup my truck, that I put a down payment and have waited patently for, how many miles on the odometer would be expected? I know it is one of two of the first to arrive at this dealership and my concern is that a line of people will be test driving the sh!t out of it. My salesman gives me an update every Monday and stated "everyone is excited to see it" and I expressed my concern.

I never really thought about it but after seeing that video all those folks gathering and jumping inside made me wonder if I would like to see that before plopping $67 g's for it inside.

<15 miles if its fresh off the truck IMO

when I ordered my platinum last time, I said dude no test drives or no sale. didn't want a bunch of dumb-assess drive it like you stole it right before I buy it.

I didn't think dealerships would let anyone test drive a truck that's already sold.
