I couldn’t get used to the complexity of the ultraguage....so I got a scanguage 2 with a blend mount. The blend mount attaches to rear view mirror and then I tucked the cat5e wiring above the headliner and down the A pillar. Very clean!

Did you just run the cat5 cable through the cable retainers already in the A-pillar? Curious if there was any issues with airbag placement and the cable?

    thanks.

Yes…it fit in the factory clips…didn’t interfere with airbag at all.

You have to do a little bit of custom PID programming but if you can follow directions, it takes about 5 minutes. It's not too tricky.

Does anyone know if the blendmount will work on the 2020 auto dimming mirror for our tundras? I’d imagine it would, just curious is anyone had tried it yet? The mirror on the OPs truck is a 2018 w/out auto dimming

    Alot of them
Look at their site, you do need a certain firmware version for it to work. Unfortunately, the unit has to be sent in to them for a firmware update, and it's $25.00

It clamps on the round arm to the mirror….if the auto dimming version has a round arm, it should work. It comes with rubber shims to fit, a clamp, and a couple hex head screws.
